3.5/10Food ok, not that good. Server messed up our tap, asked Tacos for entrance (appetizer) , got them literally for dessert. Had to pay for bread we didnt ask for .. all around bad experience food was bland no flavours. Wouldn’t recommend

9.5/10I don’t leave a lot of reviews on here but La Tasca de Retiro deserves one . Sometimes when you book places with decent discounts you turn up to an empty restaurant. This was not the case here . Not only that but the prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food outstanding. The tenderest octopus I can remember for a long time , delightfully crisp aubergine sticks with salmorejo , well presented goat’s cheese salad , and a rich meaty rabo de toro timbale. Discount automatically applied and great value even after having ordered a moderately expensive wine.

8.5/10The restaurant is very inviting. The food was good and at the right price with the discount offered thru the fork. We had a very attentive and friendly server at the beginning, when we first sat down, and then someone sent him to work outside. So the service standard changed. We ordered the chuletón (which we were told did not have a discount) it was good, but not great. The rest of the food was excellent (tomato and tuna salad, chipirones con salsa romesco, croquetas and ensaladilla rusa). We were charged for an extra glass of wine that we did not have. Did not noticed until we got back to the hotel (my fault!). Overall it was very good. We would go back and try again.

7/10The food was good- enjoyed the pulpo, entrecôte and risotto. Service was really slow- it probably took 30 mins for each dish to come out. The dishes also came one by one so we could not enjoy it all at the same time.

7.5/10We like like the restaurant but the food was too salty. I meant everything we order were with too much salt. The salad, the French fries, the steak. Our waitress was very nice, so no complaints about the service. I would give another try to this restaurant.

9/10Great quality menu. Simple, fresh ingredients and nice flavours. Good service and lovely space- nicer than you can probably guess from outside thanks to high ceilings and plants & wood decor. I will come back

8/10Our waitress was excellent and everything going well until the Maitre sat two people down on a table close to us.We had been told when we entered that that table would not be used because of social distancing so this made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe.A shame.

10/10Tasty food, good sized portions. We shared 3 dishes and with the 30% discount the final price ended up being good value for money, although pricier than a Spanish lunch menu you can get around town. I can recommend "falso risotto" and "torreznos", some of the best I have ever tasted.

10/10Adorable restaurant with high class dishes and impeccable service. The rioja our waiter recommended was superb! Great prices for the quality of food and even better with the discount. Definitely come back!

10/10My daughter and I went for lunch there and left with the best culinary experience. We loved their tapas, all their suggestions were on point and the staff was super helpful in making suggestions. We had a large meal and went on to burn it off at El Retiro Park just across the street ;)

6.5/10The service was excellent, the dessert also but the food wasn’t so good. Everything was too salty except for the dessert that was exceptional. Honestly, I wouldn’t return.
