Like coming home to your favorite relatives place for dinner. Wonderful ambience, warm and authentic attention, delicious food. Really a wonderful family.

The entree of octopus was still frozen from the fridge . The main course of ravioli had a sauce that was so yellow it could only be achieved by food dye . My sea bass was definitely not fresh as indicated . We did not eat the food and left . Very disappointed
La Taverna di MasanielloEgregia Signora, mi permetto di replicare la vostra recensione per spiegare agli altri che andranno a leggere che vi siete fatti un solo film!bastava semplicemente dire e vi spiegavo Come si crea Il nostro ravioli al limone. Noi alla salute dei nostri clienti ci teniamo e usiamo solo ed esclusivamente cose naturali. Se eravate così convinti, perché non vi siete portati a un un laboratorio e li facevate analizzare? Infine, le massicci controllo dei NAS che in Italia a differenza dell’America ci controllano periodicamente se ci sarà qualcosa che non andava, mi chiudevano la cucina. Infine, se lei ripassa di nuovo nel mio Il mio ristorante le faccio vedere come creiamo i ravioli al limone con il colore giallastro e pesce che vi faccio vedere le bolle che compriamo giornalmente. Food was good. We had Chicken Marsala and sea bass. The owner tried to charge us a different price for the sea bass saying that there was a full sea bass price and a sea bass fillet price. Brought up the menu and showed him there was only one sea bass on the menu and it was lower than what he charged us. He argued for a bit and then went and changed the price to the lower amount. Then went noticed a 6 euros charge on the bill which was a sitting fee for 2 people. Never had that charge from other restaurants we visited on this trip. We paid that additional charge so we didn’t have to argue more. Also noticed two other tables arguing with him about their checks. Very shady way of running a business.
La Taverna di MasanielloGentile ospite, voi mi avevate ordinato il pesce alla griglia, il pesce è intero, il filetto di pesce era a limone con prezzo inferiore, il coperto in Italia come in America si paga, inoltre quello che ha speso da me da voi pagavate solo i servizi di tasse americane( cover tax, tips obbligatorio, exstra tax) non sono losco come alludete voi, qui in Italia si paga solo il coperto senza servizio! Buona vita

Lovely family owned restaurant, with some great authentic food. We really enjoyed our meal in this slightly off the beaten path establishment.

Overall not a bad restaurant though not a great restaurant. Service was ok though a little rushed. Food we had was heavy on the olive oil though tasted ok. I don't like leaving negative reviews as restaurants need to earn a living though for the benefit of others wanting to choose a restaurant in Amalfi, there are better options available.

Food is oké (not good not bad) but the service is a disgrace. We got the bill without asking for it and while we were still having to finish our bottle of wine. We asked for the olive oil but they forgot to bring it instead they were “ renovating “ the terrace and asked us to stand up so they could move the parasol. No attention to the guests. I would recommend to skip this place. Value for money is not oké because we paid €99,50 for a simple lunch with a bottle of wine for 2 persons and this with the 20% Fork discount.

Don’t charge 12 euroes for 5 pieces of bread thrown on the table in a paper bag! All in all it was the most expensive but simple meal we had in our Italy vacation.
La Taverna di MasanielloSono mortificato di leggere la vostra recensione, ci sono cose inesatte.il cover charge si paga in tutto il mondo, specialmente in America e di supplemento il £18,40 e il tips £15,30, il Exstra charge del £12,40, tutto sommato il nostro coperto di pochi euro rispetto le vostre tasse e corrisposto a euro 48 per due persone! The owner was a unique person and I was able to enjoy the meal. The food was also delicious! I was asked to pay a tip when I paid the money, but I was free to pay or not. The clerk's response was also good.

The restaurant owner displayed unprofessional behavior towards both staff and customers. Due to my wife's pregnancy-related lack of appetite, we initially ordered one main course, intending to order more later. However, the owner unilaterally changed our Fork reservation from two to one, which was unacceptable.

The staff was great. The food was good, but not great. the main drawback is the lack of outdoor seating overlooking the piazza. I was disappointed once I got there of the lack of outdoor seating with a view.

A bit disappointed with this restaurant. The food lacked some of the flavour we’ve had elsewhere. It was quiet which perhaps reflects the quality

Purtroppo una caprese consumata non facciamo miracoli…lei ha detto al cameriere la mozzarella non era di bufala, sul menu ci sta scritto di mucca, se volevate di bufala la dovevate pagare come Exstra. Avevamo di più di una ventina di piatti di specialità Amalfitane, di poter scegliere, ha scelto per il prezzo la “caprese”😅 sola una goccia nel mare non fa oceano!!

Per le bevande su The Fork ci sta scritto che non hanno scontistica!! Mi sembra strano….solo lei si è lamentata del caffè e acqua i prezzi sono in linea con altri ristoranti in zona. The food was excellent. Little bit of a quirky set up on a small back corner, but everything was great. The waiting staff spoke almost entirely Italian and was very busy. Still, we got what we needed and the seafood risotto (for 2) was amazing. So much delicious and fresh seafood.

La cucina è soggettiva se il 99% dei nostri ospiti ci danno il massimo del punteggio ci sarà un motivo, non crede? Excellent food, excellent service, location is difficult to find with no views but I would go again if I'm in Amalfi. Fresh ingredients and extremely good flavours. The owner is always there looking after diners.

I have traveled to the Amalfi Coast over 40 times! This restaurant is outstanding! I had the mixed fried fish, Bruschetta and a mixed salad and a glass of white wine. I loved the attentive service and warm kindness all the waitors gave me. I am going back again tonight to try more of their delicious food!

The perfect tourist trap ! I asked for water and ice; the owner decided selling me water at 4 euros and also neglected me ice as he thought the water was cold enough. Ordered a service of King prawns he decided as I didnt speak the language he should score a GOAL by bringing me 2 orders instead of one previously frozen king prawns . The typical place you find in all tourist destinations, its a shame you advertise this place .
