It’s quite honestly the best all rounder place in bologna for traditional food. The service it’s just so warm and personal… food, delicious. A safe choice always.

The pheasant and roasted pork shank was amazing! Friendly owner and staff. We were late cause of the rain, hard to read our google map but the owner was very accommodating. It was full when we were there and leaving, people were turned away. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is super cosy and feels authentic. The main dishes were delicious, although the portions were not the same (tagliatelle was bigger than lasagne). The service was slow and it felt like the waiters were quite rushed. The tiramisu was not good which was a shame as it was our first meal in Bologna and I was excited for it!

It’s a very local place with delicios pasta bolognese big size and a cotoletta very tasty. About the service…the only thing I noticed is that tourists are not treated like locals, attention to detail with the same wine ordered at the table for Italians was served first for tasting as is normal, our table not, all the meals had olivier, ours did not... details maybe not significant because the food is perfect, very delicous, at good prices!

Lovely service in a cost room with old beams on the ceiling and an old fireplace, not functioning. I had one of the best filets of steak I have had in a really long time and my husband’s suckling pork was Devine. We also had some salad and an eggplant parmigiana that were lovely. The wine was reasonably priced and really good, recommended by the waiter. Loved it would happily go back.

Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce was very good, as with the creamy tiramisu ( dessert of the day). Overall the food was delicious and prices very reasonable. Service was attentive . I wanted a green salad and they were able to make it although there was none on the menu. Many restaurants were closed on Monday and luckily we found this place. definitely a good choice .

This was a great place to eat in the centre of Bologna with lots of ambience and most importantly good food. Our waiter was friendly and coped well with the fact that we didn’t speak any Italian and needed considerable help ordering from the menu offered. What we got was certainly typical of the area and tasted great. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant is so very charming. The staff was great and spoke English. The food was exceptional. It was was well presented and tasted delicious. The wine was exceptional. I had traditional tagietelle ragu bolognese and it was perfection. My husband had a meatloaf type dish that he loved. If you want a delicious dinner with wonderful service and attention to detail, this is the place!

This restaurant is a great find. The space is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. We liked it so much we went back a few days later. I would highly recommend the steak and the ragu also the mushroom salad. Next time we are in Bologna we will be returning to Roberto’s!
