The young gentleman did not seem willing to offer a different table, although we had dinner there the previous day,and he just opened the door to us!!

The server was very helpful and cheerful. We greatly appreciated the food offerings bringing an opportunity to explore the historical impact of Flanders and Wales on the city of Lille.

We had a great time at La Taverne Flamande. We liked the ambience and the services, friendly and fast without undue pressure. There wasn't any specific offer with The Fork, but we thought that our meal was still very good value for money. They food was excellent, the portions very generous and the service friendly. We had a great evening.

We felt the manager and staff really care about their customers and together have created a great experience for us on Christmas Eve. Although a mix up with our booking we have been offered a table and then a better one on the top floor. Polite, kind staff and good food - with the possibility to choose from the Christmas menu or à la carte- helped us have a lovely evening, one that we will remember with fondness for many Christmases to come and not just at Christmas. Thank you!

A wonderful restaurant that I would highly recommend. Conveniently located right near the domestic train station, we chose this based on the ratings here. Our experience exceeded our expectations and we will definitely go back if we visit Lille again. It is huge, much bigger than it looks from the outside and the menu is very varied so there was something for each member of our party, even though we have very varied tastes.

The onion soup and Welsch were outstanding, but the fries were excessively oily, which caused discomfort later. The restaurant’s location, directly opposite the railway station, is excellent and convenient for tourists. The ambience was great, but the overall quality of the food could improve, particularly in terms of preparation.

A lovely setting right outside the main railway station. Food was a good quality but portion sizes too big. Maybe just consider a main course instead of two courses. If you’re still hungry (unlikely) then the desserts look great!

I booked for 12 people and arrived at the correct time. The restaurant refused to honour my booking and the gentleman behind the bar was unbelievably rude. He said I had no booking even though I had a confirmation email. I left in tears. Horrible experience and we would never recommend

Pre booked a table and we were put right up the back. Took quite a time to be served. Food though was lovely when it came.

It was one of the worst experiences. We had to ask the lady two times to bring us plates and water. Also, we didn’t get bread and had to ask for it while another table was served. There was no apology from the waiter on the delay even though only us, and another table was occupied. On top of that chef was sneezing and coughing every two minutes while preparing our food.

We loved La Taverne Flamande ! The vibe was lively but enjoyable with great traditional food and selection of beers to accompany. Although the waiters were swept off their feed with orders and guests, service was always friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!
