I am gluten free and no meat which was the reason we chose to book. Also the location was great as they are indeed of the best and track. However my pasta was inedible! Must have been of the shelf (which I would never buy) super disappointing. That said the staff were lovely.

A charming place where it’s all about the food! Be the Truffle pasta, the Carbonara, or the Saltimboca…it was all delicious! Don’t forget to order dessert and espresso to round out your evening.

Most amazing pasta ever! If you love black truffles then this black truffle pasta is for you. So simple…. Just truffles, pasta water, and a little cheese. But the amount of truffle you get is amazing! The service was wonderful! We sat for several courses while we got out of the rain.

Wonderful evening dining at La Tavernetta 48. The cheese with fresh porcini mushrooms was delicious and the four cheese ravioli with cacao a real treat. Our server was attentive and very helpful. I can’t wait to return!

Food was good. Service was just ok- the restaurant did not confirm our visit or honor our discount. Our server rarely checked on us despite attending to several other guests in the same room. We sat for 30 minutes after our plates were cleared, waiting for our check and only received it when we flagged our server down to ask for it.

I don’t leave reviews of any kind, but I’m making an exception for La Tavernetta 48. I’ve been to Rome three times so far this year, and always on the search for a good dinner restaurant. Last evening I found an exceptional one. Greeted with a smile and a glass of Prosecco. Then the Tuscan bread salad, fresh and delicious. Next the ravioli filled with cheese, and the tiramisu for desert. Every plate was exceptional. And the wine list has a very good selection. I will be back to Rome this year, and will return to La Tavernetta 48.
