Doesn't measure up to Sicilian standards unfortunately. Primi pasta with mussels was very good but secondi, lamb dish was ghastly. Felt like I was eating 3 day old leftovers . One choice for wine by glass was uninspiring. Chewy and dried out. And head lettuce on the side. Patio was really dark. Probably to obscure the lawn furniture we were sitting on. Owner asked how it was. I told him. He said nothing. To the owner I ask now: why did you even ask? What a disingenuous culinary experience.

Very nice environment with romantic view towards Ibla Ragusa.

The views are amazing from this terrace and that would have been fine on its own. The food surprised us because we didn’t expect it to be so good with the plastic chairs and tables. We had no idea! The homemade trofie pesto pasta with guanciale and the bacon was perfectly crisp and the pasta al dente. We were also craving for good Sicilian pizza and definitely nailed it. Would come back in a heartbeat. This place is tucked up in an alleyway. Very nice family run restaurant. Only negative would be the lack of a physical wine list — the server just named the type of wine and said we have a bottle of this and this and you had to trust that it was good.

Very nice view! Though for its price food did not meet its price.

Amazing view. Lovely food and staff. And 300 year old steps. What’s not to like…

Obviously the view.

The terrazza has the best view of old town Ragusa. Book just before sunset and watch the lights change.

The two of us shared the swordfish roll appetizer and it was excellent. We both had pasta main courses and found the flavours to be extraordinary. We wish we had found this gem earlier so that we could return.

The greatest view in Ragusa. Food is amazing, great ambiance.

The location/view is simply gorgeous!! Food is exquisite and fairly priced. Our hosts Daniel and Lucy - wonderful!

Food was very nice. Tastefull pizza’s with Sicilian antipasta dish and nice SurSur white wine. Finishing with a good dopio espresso. Personell was friendly and helpfull. Not as fast as main Europe but hé this is meditaranian life so relax and enjoy. The view from the terras is stunning and we can recommend eating here. We had a good diners evening.

The ambience in the terrace was way below expectations. Food just ok and poor service. View from the terrace doesn’t worth eating there

Amazing views. A bit chilly but they gave us light blankets to put around us. Very nice.

The restaurant is tucked away along the narrow streets of Ragusa Ibla and is stone built. It is beautiful inside, however it was very cold, so much so that they had a gas patio heater running inside. Even so, I ended up having to wear my coat. There was only one waiter serving all the tables and the toilet door had no lock! When they came, the pizzas were tasty and the desserts were also nice, but the half bottle of local white wine was drastically overpriced at €18 and did not taste good. There was no wine list, so we had ordered on recommendation by the waiter. A shame that the peripheral things marred the overall experience.

Delicious food and gorgeous view!

Best pistachio sauce pasta with wonderful crispy bacon ever !!!!!

Not the best experience. The location and the view were stunning, but the menu was not as expected and the service was slow. We will not remember what we had for dinner in this restaurant.

Stunning view from the terrace. The pizza was delicious!

Sorry to say, but this was probably the worst service experience ever. We were here 6 years ago, and it was great. This evening the service was terrible. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for 2 pizzas, and when we wanted to pay, we were told to wait since the owner wasn't present. We were offered another ( sweet ) pizza as a 'gift' but that was not exactly what we needed/ wanted after a huge pizza meel. Unfortunately another restaurant next time..

My family enjoyed a delicious dinner last week, a real highlight of our vacation. Walking out onto the terrace for the first time to see the view is quite breath taking. We had pizza and pasta - all of it was delicious. A wonderful setting - highly recommend!

It was my 36th birthday supper. Unforgettable views and I thoroughly loved the terrace. We also had wonderful food, and the staff was really helpful. I like this. I adore Sicily. I love Ragusa Ibla.

The view and good food all together was an exceptional experience.

This is a beautiful restaurant with outstanding food. It is a bit hard to find but look for signs as you are walking the medieval streets and steps. We were surprised that it was not busy, we know we will be returning to this restaurant.

It was pouring so we could not sit outside, which I think it’s the peculiarity of this place. Food was nice but felt overpriced without the views …. Very difficult to find BTW.

The restaurant is quite hard to find as it’s amongst a residential area of small alleys and many steps. The terrace is lovely once you get up 3 floors and the view of the old town is spectacular. The service is very slow due to young and slightly inexperienced staff. Once the terrace is full, the service is very slow. The pasta with Mazara prawns and orange was tasty. The swordfish was served in a pasta bowl and was covered in tomato sauce. Far too much!! Wine was reasonable for a bottle of Grillo (€20) and you have to pay downstairs on the way out! I wouldn’t go back for the food unfortunately only for the view.

This restaurant was a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort (there’s a lot of stairs). Our server was attentive, friendly and very helpful. The setting was beautiful and a cool relief from the heat of the day. The view of Ragusa was perfect. Great night!

Friendly staff and very beautiful view. Wine recommendation was excellent and glasses were filled way up! We had Sea Bream and Mixed Seafood Grill Platter. Sea Bream was fine, Mixed Seafood Grill Platter seemed to be Convenience Food from the Refrigerator, not fresh from the sea. Food came on non-heated plates and was cold in only a couple of minutes. On check out we had to ask for the 20% discount offer with the owner and we’re given „only“ 15%.

We were a table of 4, friends visiting from Canada. We arrived at the time of our reservation at 8:00 optimistic that we would be having a great dinner. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The meals arrived after 9:30…we had ordered appetizers first which were fine but not outstanding. We had 4 pasta dishes as our mains. One arrived stone cold and another was inedible (spaghetti with mussels…avoid!). The staff was friendly but aside from the only female server, they were not overly efficient. The terrace has a lovely view of the hillside and has the potential to be a good restaurant but we would not recommend to others unless the food improves.

They view is spectacular and worth the climb. Be aware that there are many flights of stairs to get to the terrace. We arrived before sunset and were treated to the beautiful changes in the sky as we ate. To our disappointment there were no pizzas the night we visited as well as not all wines or desserts on menu available. Never the less the weather was beautiful and the meal was good. Glad we did it once because of the awesome view.

This was a gem of a restaurant. The food and the view were outstanding, and our waitress was very attentive, although it was a busy night. We all enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back again if in the area. So glad we found it!

Lovely restaurant serving fantastic pizza. We were recommended a specific local wine which was excellent. Great selection of pizza toppings and a lovely crust

I thought the staff were most efficient and helpful but the restaurant had no atmosphere at all . It felt like being in a large dungeon with very tired old piped music playing . The bill needed correcting as well and all in all overpriced

We had dinner on the terrace, where we ordered fries to nibble before having the ‘bufalina’ and ‘mare e monte’ pizzas. They were absolutely delicious and the mare e monte even had fresh red king prawns. One of the best pizzas we’ve ever eaten! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Since it was a little cold out on the terrace, we were offered blankets and they even brought us water for our dog that accompanied us. The whole bill with food and 2 large beers only came to €40. An absolute hidden gem!
5.5
The restaurant did not have our reservation. There was only one person waiting on all of the tables. She tried hard but they needed more staff. The food was average.

The place is at a top location in the old city, with a picturesque and romantic view towards the new part. The terrace offers enough space, with a dim light and it is both good for couples or bigger companies. The food is well prepared with normal presentation. The wine selection is good enough, while the deserts really deserve anyone’s attention. Their taste and quality is superb. The service is prompt while the staff is really welcoming, polite and friendly. Definitely recommend La Terrazza dell’Orologio to anyone who loves to experience a top spot, with a beautiful local, pleasant and romantic vibe.

Chill ambience and kind staff. Good quality food and top location. Average price for a dinner, recommended. Wonderful view at night, sure to come back.

Warm welcome, wonderful local food, and perfect advises for the wine. We spent an excellent diner.
