The taste of the food, the service, and the atmosphere of the restaurant were all excellent. We misjudged how much we could eat and ended up leaving some steak, which made the staff worry about us. They asked if we had enjoyed ourselves, and we truly did—it was just that we were completely full. They even offered us cake for free, saying they wanted us to at least try the flavor. An outstanding restaurant I definitely want to visit again.

Very good meal and friendly helpful waiters. The steak we had was sublime and guided by the waiter we got it cooked rare and then got a hot stone to cook it a bit more to just how we wanted it. The steaks are large (even with sharing) so we didn’t manage to try the desserts 😢!

My wife and I have been planning our visit to Venice Italy for over a year. I wanted to make it memorable as we were coming here for her birthday. We read reviews of restaurants in the area for her special dinner. We chose La Vacaria due to the reviews on google. We arrived still unsure of our choice but hoped for the best. We were greeted by a gentleman name Eddie and shown to our table. This gentleman went above and beyond to explain all the different steak choices available after which we chose the Bistecca Fiorentina for two. All I can say is that this was the best eating experience we’ve had. The steak was amazing and the service was beyond that. Eddie really went out of his way to make sure my wife had a wonderful birthday dinner. Thank you Eddie and La Vacaria!

We stumbled on this restaurant while looking for a good meal before taking a night train and incidentally found one of our favorite steakhouses and meals in Italy. We sat outside and the ambiance during sunset was lovely, made all the better by the attentive service of the staff, who ensured we were always comfortable. The meal itself was truly incredible: an amazing cut of meat (we opted for the local fiornetina, which was more than enough for two people after a day of walking and sightseeing) that was impeccably prepared, grilled vegetables that were very fresh, and excellent potatoes. All of the food was served with flair and attention to detail, the wait staff constantly assuring us that if we needed anything (including an extra hot plate to continue cooking our steak to our liking) it was no trouble. The wine was also a wonderful addition, with both the red and white house wines pairing excellently. Truly, I cannot recommend them enough, we are eagerly waiting until we can return!
