+1Genuinely excellent food. Charming service where they couldn’t do enough for you. They’ll even pick you up and drop you off to your accommodation. Highly recommend.

The food is excellent, though the outdoor seating in the restaurant is in what can best be described as an alley, complete with exhaust from the motorcycles speeding off from the nearby harbor. Not the greatest, ambiance, but the fresh catch of the day was outstanding.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, which was also located near the port of Sorrento. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the fresh seafood and pizza. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.

Such a wonderful restaurant! We had dined at Vela Bianca several times the last time we were in Sorrento a few years ago so naturally we returned on our recent visit. We were delighted that it was still as delicious. Michael and his team do a great job at making everyone feel welcome. The service and food are both exceptional. The ravioli caprese and the sea bass are exceptional. And don't miss the lemon delight for dessert.

Very intimate setting nestled next to a hotel. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was flavorful and fresh. They offered free transportation from our hotel to and from the restaurant which was so convenient. We started with the Buffalo mozzarella that was served with fresh tomato and arugula. Fresh focaccia was also served on the house and paired perfectly. We had the fresh pasta and tuna and the beef fillet with polenta which were both excellent, Save room for dessert as the lemon Sorrento special was a fitting end for an amazing meal.

A bit difficult to find....coming from the city center you need to find the stairs. Once down the 6 flights or so, walk down the road until you find the port. Beautiful entrance and lovely welcome. Then they sat ne and forgot me! I had to track down a server to take my order and then they stayed on track. The sea bass (secondi) was fantastic. The peppered mussels were a bit bland, but fresh. The panne cotta had a strange film and lumpiness to it but the inverted top part was delicious. Vini biancas were ok but nothing stellar. They were generous enough to provide Limoncello as a disgestive (gratis).

Best dining experience we've had in Italy -- wonderful food, great service, and Michael is the warmest, most accommodating maitre d' -- he treated us like family the entire evening.

This was a perfect spot for our first night in Italy. Great location, excellent, friendly service. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Complimentary limoncello at the end of dinner was perfection!

Expect to be wowed! We started with the mussels and clams appetizer. They were perfectly cooked loaded with flavor of garlic and herbs. We each had something different, seafood risotto, filet with truffle mashed potatoes, fried calamari and squid, deviled prawns and chicken. Everyone was so delighted with their food. We took bread and sopped up every drop of the deviled prawn sauce. Then for dessert we had the tiramisu and lemon delight to share. Could not decide which was the best, because they were both remarkable. Our daughter wanted to go upstairs and capture the sunset, so Michael put her on the elevator himself. Limoncello rounded out the perfect meal!

Best restaurant we ate at in Sorrento! We came back a second time. The staff was amazing and felt so welcoming. Bonus points for the ride to and from our hotel to the restaurant. Food was delicious, had the muscles and clams, tuna tartar, seafood risotto all A+! Will be recommending for anyone visiting Sorrento!

Unbelievable service and quality of food. Grandeur, character and attentiveness guaranteed. All our food was beautiful and fresh: sea bass, mussels and cod. Highly recommend as one of the finest restaurants in Sorrento.

Beautiful place tucked out of the way of the busy main centre. Definitely worth a visit as the food was amazing and it provided a bit of calm to a beautiful but busy centre.

A lovely place. They were very welcoming to our family group. The service was fabulous and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, the gamberetti and calamari were superb. The beef fillet and catch of the day was also delicious. Thank you.

Michele and the entire service team at La Vela Bianca were exceptional. The absolute most delicious appetizer you can imagine along with tableside fish preparation, a fantastic bottle of wine and unmatched service. Not to mention the Michele also offered to have us shuttled up to the top of the piazza after dinner. We could not ask for more and we would highly recommend this restaurant in pico marina.

Vela Bianca was the perfect balance of atmosphere, customer service, and exceptional food. If you are near the port, don't look any further for a restaurant.

Wow! Food here was fabulous. We shared a starter of steamed shrimp on a bed of black rice with crunchy vegetables, followed by the catch of the day, Red Snapper. It was beautifully cooked and served. The best meal we’ve had so far. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Easily the best restaurant in Sorrento. It’s always a pleasure to eat at Ristorante La Vela Bianca. Excellent Service, Fresh and delicious food, and centrally located. You’re treated as family. I have come back after 6 years, and will never forget how they made me and my family feel so special.
