10/10We had a late August dinner on a Sunday night that was magical. Excellent service, extraordinary food, an extensive wine list and a wonderful setting. It was priced accordingly but in the end we felt they delivered at that level. Really wonderful.

10/10The restaurant was so beautiful and romantic for my husband and I to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff and service was superb. The views overlooking Lake Lugano was amazing. Cannot wait to return!!!

10/10A beautiful location with an astonishing view over the Lugano lake! A very professional service, keeping the adequate distance but very attentive. Great choice of food and a quite impressive wine selection. The price rather on the higher end, but fair.

5/10Service was bad. No one came to pour the wine or water after the first serving, no one came to ask if we wanted desert or coffee, it was like we did not exist.

8/10Very nice setting. Great food but a bit expensive compared to other quality restaurants in Lugano. Moreover it was very hot inside the restaurant. Most of the staff was very attentive but some of them weren't (forgot drinks, said goodbye when going to toilet ☺,...) . Overall a nice experience with a beautiful view.

9/10Great food and lovely atmosphere, well spaced out on the terrace we had a great time. Our only small disappointment for a restaurant of this class was the lack of attention by the waiters. Dispute being on the route back to the kitchen our glasses stayed empty for long periods and our dessert which we were advised would take 15 min took more than half an hour. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

10/10Lovely, friendly, professional staff. Brilliant cocktails. Restaurant was set up very nicely, with a great view of the mountains/lake. Would definitely go again if revisiting Switzerland.

10/10We kicked off our anniversary trip with dinner here in the Hotel Splendide Royal. Our table could not have been more perfect! We had a spectacular view of Lake Lugano, with its picturesque reflection of lights across the lake. The service was personal and attentive but it was the food that we loved the most! The Lugano lake pike perch was so fresh and buttery and paired nicely with the rice pilaf. My husband really enjoyed his turbot. At home, it’s almost impossible to find these delicious fish and La Veranda prepared them perfectly! Paired with a white wine from Piedmont (that was not so memorable ) we still enjoyed the bottle! Although the portions were small, the dessert trolly was filled with tantalizing choices! The chocolate tart cake did not disappoint! Served with a final cup of coffee our anniversary dinner was perfect! Thanks so much to the entire staff for making it so special!
