8/10Service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. Our dessert- a chocolate mousse- was the best thing I’ve eaten so far in 2025. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the duck but I think it’s probably just a matter of preference rather than anything else.

A charming family run restaurant with exceptional food. The owners were delightful - our dinners (chicken breast and hare with goose liver were perfectly prepared, graciously served and well worth the price. Highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10Wonderful experience at La Vieille Tour! It is a small, cozy restaurant offering a very personalized experience. The hosts/owners were gracious and attentive and the food was delicious. The menu changes daily based upon seasonality and availability. There were 3 in our party and we enjoyed the 3 course prix fix menu, which included roasted mini sweet peppers with crab stuffing, roasted duck breast (so tender!), and a chocolate dessert - all accompanied by a nice white wine from the region. We enjoyed our meal and the experience tremendously!

10/10Traditional restaurant where the couple-owners are committed to their craft and to quality. It shows in every single bite. The best meal I’ve had in France in a few years, and it hit all the strike points - high quality produce, simple yet well-executed dishes, heartfelt and service that is not fussy but deeply genuine.

The decor is unique, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and the food presentation was flawless. I had the cod, which was perfectly cooked—light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The attention to detail in both service and cuisine makes this spot stand out as a memorable dining experience.

10/10Really good, authentic local cuisine. Friendly service by the owners. Great location. Good wine selection. Affordable prices. The only suggestion I would give is to have some quiet background music. It will help create the right atmosphere from the moment you step in.

Wonderful dinner at La Vieille Tour. Felt like dinner in their private dining room. Wonderful food, wonderful service. The pot de crème au chocolat with homemade vanilla ice cream was one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten.

10/10This restaurant is the definition of charm with excellent food. It smells like the best version of your Mom’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. Every aspect of the meal was flavorful and perfectly paired with wine from the chalkboard list of wines. The service was warm and friendly to both the American tourists (us) and the French regulars at the restaurant. It was a night to savor on every level. We highly recommend it.

10/10Such a cute little diner. It only has a few tables, and it is ran by a lovely couple. Very English speaking friendly, our waitress explained the entire menu. The chef came out and made sure everything was good. And it wasn’t good, it was AMAZING. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Strasbourg for the first time.

4.5/10Maybe we just were not ready for this type and style of French restaurant. This place is run by an elderly couple that seems to do everything and whom I am sure are very nice people. However on a busy Saturday night with a full house, the formula did not work, at least for us. First strike is that the wine they had on a chalk board list (which if it is not available you can erase it ?) was not available. The reccomended substitute was not we wanted and it put the night off to a bad start . Second strike was that the language barrier prevented us from fully understanding the menu and the meals we ordered (while maybe Anthony Bourdain would have loved them) were very serious French style that were almost unedible for us. The intensity of the offal order and the style of cooking were something we were not prepared for. Third strike was the fact that while the madam of the house was doing her best to take care of 8 tables she was very understaffed.

Bonjour Monsieur effectivement vous n’étiez pas prêts,allez dans un restaurant demande un peu de connaissances culinaires surtout pour les plats que vous avez commandés (andouillette AAAAA et boudin Basque)je vous avais pourtant bien expliqué la composition de ce que vous avez commandé,il y avait d’autres plats plus classiques sur la carte ,quand je vous ai demandé si vous n’aimiez pas vous m’avez répondu que tout était parfait mais vous deviez partir pour une urgence,je pense que dans ce cas il faut assumer mais cela est tellement plus facile de faire ça devant un ordinateur !!!! En ce qui concerne notre grand âge (60 ans ) proche du vôtre d’ailleurs nous trouvons votre remarque plus que déplacée voilà plus de 35 ans que nous faisons ce métier avec passion nous travaillons 50 à 60 heures par semaine malgré notre grand âge nous n’avons donc aucune leçon à recevoir de votre part Salutations gourmandes

10/10One of our favorite meals in France. Homey, welcoming, pretty little dining room. Charming hosts. The veal is the best I’ve had. Cold tomato soup was delicious. Cherries kirsch with gelato a perfect finish.

10/10Everything tonight was fantastic. It is a French lady and her husband running the restaurant. They were very welcoming and extremely accommodating. It felt like grandma's kitchen vibe, and we loved all the food they brought. Everything was extremely tasty. The wine selection was terrific, and it was a fantastic night would highly recommend it.

Home made Authentic French dishes run by an old French couple. Tendered mutton which I missed a lot. The only downside was the high temperature of the dining room without a fan.

9/10Loved the stuffed red pepper with crab meat as an appetizer. Delicious! The veal was tender and served with fresh steamed vegetables and a nice sauce. Overall, it’s a cozy restaurant with only few tables and the chef personally served us meals and poured our wine. Would recommend for a good dinner with an innovative twist.

10/10We loved eating in this restaurant. It is very cozy and from the first moment you feel welcome. Service was great and the food delicious. We loved the foie-gras , the main courses and we adored the deserts. Highly recommended!
