The view, atmosphere and food were excellent. Possibly a bit expensive but very enjoyable. We would go back. The staff are professional but not stuffy. You are offered an aperitif at the table - the first course arrived before we had finished it. My advice would be to arrive early to allow time for the aperitif in the bar (road side of the restaurant - there are entrances road and sea side. We enjoyed the meal and would return.

Service is amazing. Atmosphere is lovely, such a beautiful setting. The staff are all very attentive and very friendly. The food is first class. Beautiful seafood. Lovely setting and great waiter. However due to mix up between maitre’d and us more food was ordered than we wanted. Whilst we apologised for mix up the MD became exceptionally frosty which led to a below par experience.

It was an incredible evening. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. We had green asparagus, alcachofas, cigalas, red prawns, and a red snapper fish prepared in Canarian style. The fish was daily fresh. It was our last day, otherwise we would have certainly come back another time!

Sadly Disappointing Unfortunately, our experience at La Vieja was quite disappointing. The beef fillet was not tender and had no flavor. We specifically asked for no vegetables for our daughter, as she wouldn’t eat them and it would be a waste – yet the vegetables were still brought to the table. When we asked for fries instead, we were told it would only be possible for an extra charge, and we ended up paying 4€ more. There was no flexibility or willingness to accommodate a simple request. Overall, we expected better service and a more welcoming attitude.

Just go for the view and a glass of wine, food is horrible in this place, starters out of Lidl jars and uncooked paella, we informed the chef de service about the paella’s rice being uncooked to no avail. Their policy must be to just ignore their guests as they leave in a week or two. On a positive note the wine we picked was good.
