10/10In almost a week in Lisbon this was our most flavorful dinner! We had two different samosas, the prawn curry, and roti. Everything was delicious, especially the curry. The spiciness was just perfect for us. Very good service too!

10/10We’re big fans of this relatively new and very tasty Goan-Portuguese fusion restaurant just up from Praça Luís de Camões. It’s worth it to brave the throngs of Bairro Alto revelers for a visit to this cheery dining room where flavors of the subcontinent interact playfully with touches from the metropole—think prawn pakoras served alongside bulhão pato mayonnaise, samosas stuffed with grouper, and veal from the Azores afloat in a divine curry. Unfortunately the kitchen had run out of paratha by the time of our late reservation, but the sweet server suggested aloo chat french fries instead—perfect for scooping up what remained of the rich sauces. The menu’s spiciness ratings seem a little conservative, owing perhaps to the colonizers’ delicate palates. Be sure to save room for dessert—we counted nine layers in the bebinca, a spiced egg yolk and coconut delicacy. With flavors this good, it’s no surprise the Portuguese stuck around for so long!
