Food was fabulous and service was excellent! This restaurant was recommended by our hotel front desk and also by our taxi driver. Wonderful dinner!

Standard Bodega food and service

The service and food were both poor. The white wine was plonked down on the table, not poured or cool bucket provided. You are given a couple of stale bread rolls and packet of bread stick's still in the shop bag with no butter or olive oil, you will also be charged for these although they were not requested. I asked for salt and pepper with my meal, forget about a pepper mill, I got a supermarket jar of white pepper that had come straight from the shop. Prices are not cheap so I expected better especially from previous reviews. I may sound like I’m being a bit petty and if you feel you must try it go and make up your own mind, but I would advise avoiding at all costs.

Quite an experience!

Food was not so good, vine and manzanilla were bad quality. Fish was not fresh and mixed salad was so simple.

Nice typical restaurant, you must have reservation to be sitted. Food very good

During our visit, we ordered exclusively seafood starters and entrees. We were impressed with the excellent presentation and taste.

The restaurant is noisy and mainly caters for the locals. The waitress could not understand any English - even though the menu has English written underneath - and we were pointing towards it. My meal of pork with mushroom sauce and chips was very nice. My friend felt her choices were more limited as she doesn’t eat meat and we had seen pasta online but it wasn’t there on the day we went. The desserts described as cakes are really mousses !

Made reservations for 8PM to try a variety of their tapas. Only to find out that you can’t get tapas after 8PM unless you want to sit at the bar, which we did. If you want tapas then go in the afternoon or be prepared to sit at the bar. The food, service and ambiance are excellent though.

Food was lovely, service wasn’t great. We entered and no one helped us, servers were walking around us but not stopping to help, I had to go up to a ask about our reservation, we felt like we were in the way as they seemed to be preparing for the evening. After dinner waited awhile as no one was around, had to go to counter to get bill.

Typical restaurant not far from the old town, I recommend the oxtail and local ham. The other food (entrecote, fried fish and seafood) is nothing special. Service is polite.
