this place could be beautiful! but old furniture, degraded materials and spider webs on the wall ruined it. only 2 guys serving. had the steak it was medium. not even asked how I wanted the meat cooked.

I was really excited about going to this restaurant but was so disappointed when we arrived. Not only were we the only people there, which didn’t create a good atmosphere, the menu was limited and the food underwhelming.

Great restaurant : cosy place with a view on the garden. Nice service, quick, precise and polite. And, most important : great food ! We had a Wellington beef and a dark pork with a Marques de Vorba wine : it was just "Whaooo".

We went on Christmas Eve and it was a set menu. The starters and desserts were a buffet and you had a choice of two mains -- fish or lamb. Given only two choices, I thought lamb was an interesting option since many people do not like lamb. Also, there was no vegetarian option (unless it was by request). The starters were good and there were several options to try. The best part of the meal was the dessert table; it was amazing and very good. The meal included all beverages except hard liquor. Wine, beer, soda, tea, coffee, all included. The meal was a little pricy, but not terrible considering it was Christmas Eve and everything was included, so no surprises on the bill at the end.

Really nice staff. I tried the cod (bacalhau) with season vegetables. Full of taste and delightful. Then the chocolate cake was really good.

We had a beautiful meal in this picturesque part of the hotel, overlooking the hillside and listening to birds keep us company. Each dish was elegantly presented, we enjoyed duck breast, octopus and delicious salads, with a great bottle of wine. The wait staff was professionally trained as you would expect in fine dining, and exceeded our sophisticated expectations. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

When we arrived, the restaurantweek menu that was presented to us was different of what is on the app "The Fork". When asked, they said it was an error from "The Fork", but they did offer to serve us the dishes that were on "The Fork's" menu. Although the question was solved, the experience was frustrated right from the start of the meal, which was unpleasant because the choice of the restaurant depended on the menu, and from 8 dishes only two were the same as advertised on "the Fork".

Dining at the Lawrence Hotel restaurant was one of our favorite memories in Portugal. The two servers, Abel and Marta, were incredible! They were attentive to our every need, wonderful to talk with, and gave some of the best service we ever had. Abel was particular about where he seated us so we could have the best view. Both Marta and Abel gave great food recommendations. I had the cod fish and my husband had the boar entree. We split the green salad, which was both plentiful and delicious. But the award winning chocolate pudding with ice cream was the highlight of our meal. We ordered one to split, but it was so good we ordered a second. We would have ordered a third, but we were so full they would have had to roll us out. We highly recommend it when you’re in Sintra and if we’re ever there again we will definitely go back.

Very rarely do you get the feeling when one visits a restaurant that its "Just Right" This is one of those places You cant pick out any one particular part of the experience as it was all excellent but so unobtrusively. Thoroughly recommend you visit this restaurant, if you fail to enjoy it, I feel sorry for you as you are missing out on the finer things in life

Beautifull place and delicious food. Maybe the monk fish portion was a little small but all the other dishes were perfect size and taste.
