We were already preparered by previous reviews but it exceeded Outlook expectations. Mother and son who are running this small restaurant with so much passion to create a beautiful memory. All this in a very friendly atmosphere and with the use of fresh products made it a beautiful evening.

This tiny restaurant, a bit out of the way but it’s on the streetcar route, was warm and friendly. Husband and wife work harmoniously to make the meal special. Many locals dine here. Meals from the small menu were well done, delicious. My wife’s favorite meal in the past 2 weeks. Very recommended.

This was one of the nicest restaurants we experienced in France. It is a small place with lots of character. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Very nicely prepared dishes. Would definitely visit again!

As entry we shared a crab soup (Soupe de Crabe Vert à la Citronnelle) and a tartare of St Jaques (Tartare de St. Jacques à la Passion). The first was a little too bitter and a bit watery, for the second the parsley was covering the taste of the St jaques and a parmesan sheet (perfectly done) was not really fitting with the dish. As main dish we took Calamars en persillade and Entrecôte Simenthal, sauce Bordelaise. The first was really nice, for the second the meat was perfectly cooked but it was missing a bit of sauce and the galettes that came with the meat were little too oily. No comment on the service, all people very nice and welcoming.

Fantastic service, with great care to explain the menu to non French speakers. Foie gras was tasty and was well worth the time to travel outside of Strasbourg centre. Full of locals and highly recommended for some French home cooking!

Dining in the restaurant Le Bistronome is always a true pleasure. Experienced and kind staff, excellent food and cosy atmosphere. I sincerely recommend it!
