8/10This restaurant is attached to a luxury hotel outside Megeve in the country. The setting is lovely, great mountain view. I chose to sit outside which might have been a mistake as there were lots of flies and noisy children. When I arrived I was told the main course would be all barbecue. The mackerel I had was beautifully cooked but took a long time to come as 1 chef only was cooking this barbecue. As Megeve is a very expensive resort and this was a 5 star hotel it was pricey, though not absurdly so.

6/10very slow service. cold inside. food is good but very small portions and expensive

5.5/10The staff at the L'Alpaga are lovely but the food was greasy and disappointing. I have a diary allergy; which a quality restaurant should be able to accommodate. L'Alpaga just removed the diary component but didn't replace it with anything. Leaving me with a smaller meal that was also greasy. My husband found his meal uninspiring.

4.5/10Underwhelmed. Had wanted to go Alpaga for some time - but won’t rush back. So many other wonderful choices in the area. We were offered an aperitif on arrival which we took on the beautiful terrace. But once at the table literally rushed through the process like a fast food chain. We were chased through decision making even though we asked for more time / felt throughly harangued. And they were so quick that our server failed to take down the first course choices correctly. When we pointed out the missing dish they couldn’t accommodate as already preparing the second course. Items on the menu not available, but not advised when given the menu. Such a disappointing experience.

10/10Fabulous! The service was amazing, every member of staff was brilliant. Really attentive, helpful and a credit to the restaurant. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend. Thank you

7/10The menu had very few and limited options. Two fish dishes were very good. The veal stew underwhelmed and was not even mediocre. The prices were high. The service could have been better
