I am extremely disappointed with the service at your restaurant. Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a terrible table. We had to wait more than an hour for our food, while other guests who arrived later than us were served before us. There was not even an apology offered for this situation. The steak was very tough, and the pasta barely had any truffle aroma

The food was good, but the waiter forgot one person’s order so it came 45 minutes after everyone else had been served. The restaurant only had indoor seating and it was a hot day so we felt like we were in a sauna. The waiter asked for a tip when he brought the bill, which is not common in Paris (the gratuity is included in the price of the meal).

Lunch at La Bucheron 30/8/25 was our first meal after our morning CDG arrival from the Southern Hemisphere. It did not disappoint: friendly, welcoming and English-speaking personnel, efficient service (seating as requested in booking), traditional bistro ambiance and good food of generous proportions.With The Fork's 20% discount, it was also good value. On leaving we were asked to write a review if we were happy with our meal experience but also if we were not, as our waiter said 'we learn from that'. However, we were most happy.

The place was super nice and friendly. Very good food. We have been served by a super sweet Moroccan-Italian-French waitress. It was our last dinner in Paris before leaving and we really enjoyed it a lot! Looking forward to coming back in the future.

The ambience is great. While on Rue du Rivoli, the place does not ooze "touristic" but feels pretty local. Food was great. Especially tarama starter (with truffles), excellent steak cooked how you want it (really), and very nice potatoes. We had a mix-up on one order of mushrooms to accompany a dinner and they brought it right away. The staff were excellent, open to a chat if you wanted one or leave you alone if you want that. We recommend Le Bucheron, even if it is in the touristic zone.

We arrived at 5 and the restaurant was empty👍. This meant we could have the private two seat table in the back of the restaurant which gives you almost a personal room inside the restaurant. The wine list was limited. The wine we got for 30€ was nit good. I am nit sure I can include the bottle label in the review but it was Italian and not good. We both had the French onion soup which was notable for being way too sweet. Also my partner had 5 sprigs of thyme from the bouquet garni in his soup and his teeth. Not recommended. The bread is good. He had the planchette for his meal and it was copious and excellent. Their mustard was Heinz which was ok. I prefer Dijon. I got the 300g entrecôte and be it was perfect but they did not have fries. So I got garlic potatoes. They were ok. The steak was excellent. I recommend those two dishes here. Do not buy a bottle of wine. I did not get wine by the glass so you can try this.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were sat next to the servers station at the bar area - very noisy and chaotic and it went downhill from there. Very smokey even though we were half inside and outside. Very busy so I give them some slack but took 20+ minutes to place our drink order and appetizers (eggs and combo cheese/charcuterie platter (which never arrived). Finally ordered our main dishes as we needed to leave for Eiffel Tower time slot and dishes arrived 60 minutes after we sat down. Food was excellent but the pace and service were very poor. Someone please let me know when our appetizers arrive…..👎

It is always a win when you go into a restaurant in Paris and you are the only ones who are speaking English! It was so delightful to be surrounded by locals - friends or family gathering to enjoy a meal and get together. The mushrooms are amazing! We ordered a full meal and left for two around 54 euros - service is welcoming food comes fast and the place is local -
