8/10I hoped this would be a really good experience. In fact, I thought everything could be improved, with a little more attention to detail. The salad starter needed more refinement to make it more visually appealing. My duck breast main course was perhaps the best thing I ate and it had good flavour. The service tried to balance the homely and the professional and it might be good to decide on one or the other.

A nice experience! One of the dishes could have definitely been a little more flavourful (chorizo sauce didn't taste much like chorizo) but the meat was very well cooked and portions were great for the size. Cute cat wandering around like it owned the place, and friendly staff

We’ve loved this restaurant for years and were so excited to finally share it with our children—but sadly, it wasn’t what we remembered. The food was just okay, and the Roquefort cheese sauce, once a favorite, was bland and mostly cream with barely any cheese flavor. One of the biggest disappointments was that the prix fixe dinner menu is no longer available, which used to make the meal feel thoughtful and special. We understand places change, but it’s hard not to feel let down when a spot that once felt like a hidden gem just doesn’t hold up. Grateful for the memories, but bummed by the experience.

Regarding the menus, this is clearly indicated both outside and on our menus or our networks and only applies at lunchtime. This has not changed. +1The ambience is really comfy, I think this restaurant is a hidden gem not some kind of tourist trap, they had good food with reasonable prices. I enjoy eating here, the waitress is also really nice, they assure you sit comfortably.

10/10We had a lovely dinner after long flights. Excellent value (especially as we booked through The Fork), good mid priced wines list, competent service in a busy night. We’d certainly revisit next time in Paris

10/10We have been coming to the restaurant for 26 years now. It has the same owners and the same chef and sous chef. The food and service is always phenomenal. It is a go to for us when we come to Paris. Traditional bistro that never disappoints!!!

10/10Le Caveau was our first dinner in Paris. The food was fantastic! The location and ambience were outstanding. But the hospitality and service put it over the top. We felt like we were at a friend’s home for a dinner party. Très bien!

10/10Booked mainly because the restaurant is 200M from our 1 month rental apartment, and because of past reviews and The Fork special. The staff were welcoming, receptive professional and attentive. We could not ask for more! The food was excellent. We had foie gras, onion soup, frogs legs and beef bourguignon. I don't often choose frogs legs but these were among the best I have had (well seasoned with plenty of flesh and great flavor). Only a few tables so recommended to book. The atmosphere was great and it has a homely / friendly feel. We will definitely be back!

10/10The owner was absolutely lovely. He was so kind and attentive. I loved the ambiance and the food was wonderful especially the smoked salmon and food. Also location was perfect with just a ten minute walk to notre dameaking it the perfect Christmas Eve before midnight mass dinner.

Exactly what you've done. Despite your roughy attitude and comment, we confirmed that on this Christmas Diner, only the specific menu was available, as mentioned all over platforms. You were quite upset and expressed your dislike of all the dishes offered. You left without even saying good bye and stayed a very long time in front of our door, showing us your back. Doesn't matter, I wished all of you a merry Christmas. Hope you've find what you were looking for.

Absolutely special night. Our waiter went above and beyond to make Christmas, and my birthday, one to remember. Delicious good. More delicious company. Cannot recommend it enough.
