Varied menu with great service and upbeat atmosphere. My wife and I ate there twice in October 2024. Food was well prepared, presented and very tasty. We spoke very little English. Our servers were very helpful in assisting us in meal and wine choices We would recommend this restaurant

My veal dish ( veal chop) was excellent. My husband’s veal picatta was inedible, fatty, awful—barely any meat. He mentioned this when asked, but there was no offer of an alternative, no change to bill, etc. Be careful what you order.

Service was very rushed and not especially friendly. The food was ok, if you have a gluten allergy like I do , then the best they can do is offer a limited selection of items from the menu that they then cooked with no flavor or seasoning. I’ve eaten in Paris countless times and have never had such a tasteless meal. The waiter served our food and didn’t come back to check in so the entire meal when I needed something I was out of luck. We were not there especially late in the evening and they were already sold out of numerous desserts. By far one of the more disappointing experiences out of many in all of my visits to Paris.

I’ve dined here many times over the years and it remains a favorite. I love traditional French cuisine and Le Chai excels at this. Clearly the people in the kitchen care about what they’re doing and you can taste this in everything they make. Service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

Our waiter was the most memorable part. Full of love and care- I wish I could name him specifically. The food for us was not well described on the menu but was tasty. A street performer began singing jazz tunes with a live cellist and the manager/owner started an angry fight w him in the street.

Wow, wow, wow! Kind of a last minute booking for my party but was definitely worth it, affordable, perfectly presented, and absolutely delicious food. The service was amazing as well, the French are amazing with foreigners.

Got our booking, seated immediately. Gave us the French Christmas eve menu. When asked for the English menu it was given promptly. Once we ordered, the food came quickly. The starter we very good. The main courses, beef and fish were OK. The veal was undercooked and second time over cooked. We have two desserts to share. Overall good
