Nice view of the lake and city. Service was exceptional. Food was good but perhaps not exceptional. The decoration inside the restaurant has an old but warming vibe.

We found a hair in our food and we were told that it was our hair. It was extremely rude when it spoilt our dinner and meant we couldn’t eat together and my food went cold. Bad service from one person spoilt the meal

Food was so so, nothing to shout about at all. Price doesn’t reflect on the quality of the food. Never could understand how this restaurant could be rated very good restaurant apart from the friendly staff and nice view. You pay for the view and not the food. Swiss food scene is just disappointing and so predictable… boring!

The fish was unfortunately very dry, the sauce had no taste and the potatoes must have been cooked the day before and just re-heated. There was no effort made to sauté the vegetables and the potatoes in a little bit of butter maybe with some persil etc. For the price asked it was quite a disappointment. Otherwise the ambience was very nice, the wine good and the service excellent.

I have been to le Chalet many times. On this occasion, the food was not the quality I exuded. My wife's fondue was a bit grainy, my gratin potatoes where under cooked, and my beef steak was overcooked and dry. If you go on a good day, the view, however, is spectacular. We went up on the funi on a Friday night.

While the ambience is excellent, simple menu and very poor service level. We could not communicate with the waitress. It is a pity, such location can offer a great restaurant.

Nice chalet, with nice ambience. Food is nice, but a bit expensive if you don’t have the discounts of the fork. Nice selection of wines.

The views are stunning and we timed it for sunset adding that extra special wow factor. Never having had fondue before, our waitress recommended and guided us through the best for us both. The food was superb as was the wine and service with plenty of smiles. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Vevey, Montreux area.
