The food was not seasoned properly for me and the crunchy stuff was stale. Overall, just okay with a frown.

The service and location was great but food had a lot more to be desired, in my opinion. I ordered a dinner menu on a Saturday night. The tuna tartaki starter and nougat ice-cream dessert was alright. The octopus main dish was recommended by the waiter for its popularity, but the dish lacked flavour and I thought the pairing with the mash potatoes was odd. I feel Le Cinq could do much better with its pricing and reputation. I was honestly disappointed with the experience as it was far below my expectations.

We have made a reservation via thefork.com. We had the €29,5 menu, 3 courses, with a free bottle of wine (only on thursday) for 4 people. The food was very good, we will recommend this restaurant to our friends and would go back next time we are in Montpellier.
