Wow! This is the type of food/value ratio that you get in France that is completely impossible to get in the USA. Traditional French food cooked incredibly well with a creative and natural touch, served by a beautiful, gorgeous, and graceful model/actress, all in a small and cozy but tastefully decorated space up in a gentrified area in Marseille. I am always so shocked that only 3 people in the entire restaurant (!!!) can run it so well. In the USA, we would need at least ten employees lol. Definitely worth a try if you are into French food. Won’t break the bank at all!

I love fresh fish and I eat it a lot. I can safely say that I had the best octopus in this restaurant. Keep up the excellent work, chef. Hats off to you, you are in a special league with the quality of all your dishes.

The hostess was incredibly charming. For dinner we had the octopus and the veal. Both were cooked to perfection. The most tender octopus either of us has ever had. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

+1The good was of a very good quality. Servings also looks great significantly contributing to the overall perception - like mini works of art. I would have preferred more food but I won’t complain! Definitely recommend this place.

À very nice surprise in le Cours Julien! The food is creative and delicious, only few choices so it is fresh and adapted to the season. Highly recommended.

Beautifully cooked fish and the sauces were varied and interesting. A great position in the cool district of Marseilles. Also a very friendly place. The chef is passionate about his food and the waitress highly attentive. Good selection of wines.

Fantastic food, some of the best I had in Marseille, for a very reasonable price. Was skeptical at first due to the location and the look from the outside, but the place quickly filled up (reservation was needed) and the vibe was good. Though slightly too hot inside. The chef, a young but clearly ambitious man, even came out to say hi and handle the payment at the end. Very nice guy!

Don’t be fooled by the rather ordinary setting. The food here is excellent. I had crab ravioli followed by veal. The attention to detail is excellent. The veal is the best I have had. The wines are reasonably priced and the service is very welcoming and helpful. This is one of the best meals I have had during a 3 month stay in France. Book and enjoy!

Best restaurant I have been to in a while. Service was lovely. The dishes were original and absolutely outstanding. This is a really gem in Marseille and in the entire region. If I had to recommend only one restaurant, it would certainly be this one. I look forward to visiting again. Excellent quality but also great value for money.

The restaurant is tucked away in Marseille, it’s cute and cozy. The menu is limited, but everything we ate was very tasty and well presented. The customer service was very good - the best we’ve experienced in a long time. The restaurant is owned by a very friendly couple who did their best to ensure a great experience. We arrived late for our booking yet they still accommodated us and even kept the restaurant open for us a little later. We had issue getting an Uber due to no taxis being available - they did everything they could to get us back to our hotel - massive thank you! I would 100% recommend this restaurant; good music, amazing customer service, delicious food. B Sta

Creative, competently executed contemporary fusion food, Presentation is also very good though there is room for growth to match the food.. Service is attentive and cordial. The design of the space can be improved..

I had dinner in this restaurant during a business trip in February. The restaurant is not very large (about 15 tables) and it is very welcoming. The staff was very kind. I had a fish starter and a meat main course: both very good and well presented. I overall recommend it.

This is a great restaurant. The food is excellent and the service was great. It is only missing a terrace which would have made it perfect. But I highly recommend it!

From the moment you walk in to when you leave the service is génial. I had the tacos entree, poulpe plat, and cheesecake w/ mango coulis for dessert. The flavor profiles were well thought out and the plating was visually pleasing (definitely Instagram worthy). The pricing was extremely reasonable if anything I thought the quality was higher than what you pay. Will definitely go back before I leave Marseille to try another trio of dishes.

Le Comptoir de Becca is located in a diverse neighborhood with many restaurants in the area. We made a reservation based upon excellent reviews. A new or renovated restaurant with a cozy environment and expedient service. There is ONLY one menu with 3 entries, 3 main courses, & 3 desserts and although that might sound limited, the food is prepared with such attention to quality and taste that one wonders why more restaurants haven't adopted this approach. The price is around 27 euros for a Menu and if one is not interested in the Menu, you can select something from the Menu that suits your fancy. We'll be back!

The lady staff at Le Comptoir was an absolute darling. My friends and I spoke a bit of French but not enough to understand the handwritten chalkbosrd menu. She so kindly even Googled the image of the food for us to better understand the options. The food was absolutely amazing too, we ordered the beef and they had sauces that were homemade. We appreciate the excellent service!! We highly recommend this place. Le restaurant est très bien. Merci pour votre service !
