A true favorite in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Excellent food, choices of wines and aperitifs, and service. Gorgeous setting for a casual but elegant meal. Will continue to visit each time I am back home in Provence.

The lamb was very tough and chewy ~ my husband could not eat it....they comped us a couple of glasses of wine...service was great.

Amazing view from the terrace over the Châteauneuf du Pape vineyards and all the way to Mont Ventoux. The service was excellent, helpful, and friendly, and the food was delicious. It's well worth a visit.

Very different restaurant for Chateauneuf-de-Pape. Modern building with modern furnishings. The fare was quite good and the service was impeccable!

Came on a particularly rainy day and was greeted warmly and had an excellent meal. The wine list was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable about the wine and decanted it with care. Wonderful evening!

Very friendly team, excellent chef and kitchen, really tasty food and enjoyable wine pairing. It was a perfect lunch setting amidst a simple but pleasant and relaxed setting and atmosphere.

We had the good luck--or misfortune--to dine during the Medieval Faire. There was a limited, fixed course menu, and it would have been great to know before traveling from Avignon for a special meal. The service was brisk, but far from welcoming. There were only 5 dishes to choose from, so we tried them all. The ceviche was excellent, likely due to the Ecuadorian chef's native palette. However, the Pasta Norma and Fish Stew were bland, though cooked well. We had high hopes for the grilled meats, but there was just one choice on the menu. The roasted vegetables were the highlight of that dish, which was disappointing. We were hoping for a memorable meal in an enchanting locale, but we received mediocre service and passable food. It was not worth the premium price we paid or the trouble we took to get there.

The waitress acted as though she did not speak English, yet I overheard her speaking English to a different table before we left the restaurant. The food was good, the fish was very flavorful and the chicken was also well done. Bottom line is that we did not feel welcome.

Delicious and wonderfully presented food. Service was excellent. It was fun to be able to see the kitchen. Nice selection of wine by the glass. We sat inside due to the rain and liked that the tables were not cramped.

The first course and main plate were very good. The baba au rhum could be better as the rhum was diluted.

I don’t even know what to say. I made a reservation two weeks in advance as part of my trip, and just last night you even sent me an email to confirm my attendance. Yet after driving all day to get there, I arrived to find the hotel front desk completely deserted and the restaurant looking like a ghost town. I have no idea what kind of “improvement” you could possibly offer after this. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Lovely food in a relaxed but serene environment. Wait staff were very kind and patient, speaking English with us as needed.

We had a reservation here for 6 people. Overall the food was delicious! It was more the service and ambiance that were disappointing. The main dish for one of our group was completely forgotten and arrived 20 minutes later than everyone else's. Drinks were also forgotten. A large your group came in about halfway through our meal and were extremely loud, ruining the ambiance and experience for everyone else. While the food was good, I don't think I would return.

We had a very odd experience. Limited menu and no outdoor seating despite near perfect weather. Some of the food was fantastic but there were serious issues with the service and the steak. We ordered a few starters to share (group of 4). Only some came out. Then we got our €95 steak. It was cooked fully well done. Like leather. We ordered medium rare. One of our party didn’t get their steak at all but was served a starter as her main. We asked the waiter what was going on but he said our steak was cooked as the chef normally does and that we got our whole order. We didn’t want to argue to let it go. We couldn’t eat our steak because it was so chewy and over cooked. Then after all our dishes were cleared away and we were considering desert the missing steak came out of the kitchen, a full 45 mins after our main meals were served. We refused it and there was a lot of confusion and back and forward between the waiter and the kitchen but no one even tried to talk to us. We speak French and English. It was very very disappointing and we really couldn’t believe what happened and initially blamed ourselves but there were too many mistakes and opportunities to fix it to ignore. We went for the advertised rotisserie but they didn’t have any on the menu and seemed short staffed. At no point did they even try to fix it but they might not have known because the waiter was that clueless. I dont understand how the chef could have through we would order a steak for desert though, even if the waiter was useless the chef should have questioned a rare steak order for desert and a super well done steak for 2 for main course. We really wanted to like it but it was the worst meal we had in France.

The ambience was unbeatable - nice stylish decor overseeing the vines on the slopes. We sat inside. There weren’t a lot of people at the time of arrival but the staff were surely very busy. We have signaled numerous times but for one reason or another, only got the menu 30 minutes later. There was a mix-up in order, and there was clearly a staff who can speak better English came to try to manage but stated that we had wanted a change in order. It’s either the language or the demeanour which sounded like an accusation. We decided to just take whatever was prepared, Food arrived in an hour from our arrival.

Overpriced for the quality of food! The service could have been better! The waiter only poured the wine at the beginning!

We had a lovely lunch with an amazing view over the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The food was excellent and the service super fast and friendly. Would highly recommend to anybody

Strong recommendation due to few things (in order of appearance): - great location and view - friendly service - extensive knowledge of local wines and willingness to discuss and provide great matches with the food (Thanks to Paul) - well made food with consideration to details even on the ”day’s menu”

We booked because we were staying at the hotel which is just perfect in all execution. But a little disappointed in the comptoir . It is Expensive for what it is. Food good but Service overwhelmed on a Saturday night. Wine pairing with food ok but had drunk the glass before starter had arrived. Could be better.
