Tasty food beautifully presented. A very attractive dining room. Friendly, professional service. Just a pity that the wine is expensive for a reasonably priced lunch. I recommend a "pot" Lyonnais could be available.

It was very difficult to find a restaurant open on a Sunday night in Lyon and I’m glad we were able to find this one. The location is in the charming old part of town, but there are many restaurants named Le Comptoir so it was a little confusing at first to find this one. This is located In a Radisson hotel and the architecture of the hotel itself was very interesting. However, the only restroom is in the hotel and requires a guide to take you there. The food was very good quality and the service was very good as well. We both had lamb, which was a large, thick tender piece of meat. My starter was a poached egg on puréed pumpkin with a mushroom sauce. My husband had a dish that was hard to describe, but it had to do with smoked trout and he liked it I didn’t care for my dessert, which had something to do with a pair and shaved chocolate topped a sorbet. Very nearby there is a large mechanical clock that moves every 15 minutes. Look for it.

From start to finish a wonderful experience. Pâté - amazing! ; Specialty of the house roast chicken - delicious! ; cheeses - excellent! Service - delightful! Wish we had more nights in Lyon to enjoy Le Comptoir!

My main complaint was the quality of the food. La les freshness, the meat that was supposed to be cooked for 6 hours was reheated before serving and rather dry. In my opinion there are much better options in Lyon.

Excellent service from everyone involved in serving our meal. The food was amazing. The best lamb dish I have ever had. I highly recommend this spot. The setting was great too. The square in Old town Lyon are quaint and a beautiful setting.
