Everytime we visit Paris we love to visit one of our favourite restaurants The whole experience has been amazing every single time The food the service the ambience. Very satisfied We would definitely recommend this place

The food and service are excellent. It's one of my favorite restaurants in all of Paris, and I go for at least a drink every time I visit. The fact that it's open very late is only the icing on the cake.

Great restaurant but it was so cold inside. Many customers were on the same situation. The temperature was so low, my feet were frozen for 2 hours and caught a bad cold because of this lack of heating…

Food was not fresh and all in all disappointing. Desserts were embarrassing.

I can not review a meal. Arrived about 10 minutes early for 8:30 reservation. Crowd of folks outside. Went to door agate across said open and folks standing inside. One asked if I was there for concert, said no dinner. She opened gate, appeared to be just a guest. Made my way thru crowd and got young Batman’s attention. Said I had dinner reservation , he did not appear to check or ask name. Came from behind bar and said upstairs and led up stairs to empty dining room, tat Les did not appear set for dining room. He said since no one up here maybe downstairs, I said Is there a table? He said in corner. Went downstairs, led down two steps to little space off front of bar room. Empty but for one oval table that could seat 6, totally bare, not set for dinner. On way down I asked about concert, said starts about 8:30. I said no thank you and left as I had come for dinner with other diners not a concert.

A hidden gem in the Marais! You might walk right by this restaurant, but don’t. The service is exceptional and friendly. The food is delicious and offers a nice variety. One of the best meals in Paris so far. I will definitely be back.

I've been visiting Le Connetable for 20 years or so, every time I go to Paris. It's always a pleasure. Friendly ambiance, good food and wine - altogether well worth a visit.

The ambience and style of the building is great and when we arrived I had expectations of good, traditional french cuisine. Unfortunately the food was poor and it was as if it was heated up rather than made fresh. I had a fish terrin starter, which was dull and flavourless. I had a basic steak for my main, which was covered in source and its quality dubious. After arrival we weren't offered a drink and waited(without a drink) 20 minutes before I had to call over the aiter, who had only one other table to worry about to take our order. It was a Monday evening and the place was almost empty and I suspect the quality and service is probably much better on a busier night. If they aren't prepared to deliver good food however on quiet nights they might be better to stay closed until the busier nights. We still had a good evening with friends in what should be an excellent place to eat.

Wonderful old time restaurant with great menu

This has been a favourite restaurant of mine for many years. The ambiance is great - as is the food. Last week I visited with a group of clients. Food was as good as always. The ambiance also - but, what detracted from this was the service. For the number of diners, the restaurant was badly understaffed. Service was poor. It was rushed, confused, random and did not do justice to the quality. I do hope that something will be done to correct this.

The menu was hardly readable. It was not clear which plates included Fork's discount and which did not. Although we booked discount we were mislead and we paid normal prices at the end.

A terribly old fashioned restaurant. The service was ok but the food was terrible. Poor cuts or meat and dreadful sauces. Also very dirty cutlery and restaurant. If you come from a major city like London or New York you won’t enjoy this one. The owners seem nice but they need to clean up the whole restaurant as it’s pretty disgusting

A return to Connétable having first discovered it last year. A very well priced menu and wine list in a lovely atmospheric dining space. Friendly and relaxed service

Really enjoyed eating here. The ambience and decor is great in a wonderful building. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was good -- tasty with a small but well-thought out selection of starters and main courses and well prepared vegetables. Very good cheese selection and good wine list. The place isn't a tourist trap and has its own style which would make us return.

Absolutely incredible! Quaint place and my husband and I agreed it may be the best meal we’ve ever had. He had the pork tenderloin with garlic and I had the steak with raw scallops. Wish we lived in Paris to make it a regular spot for us, but I know that we will go out of our way to return as soon as we can! 100% recommend!

Come to Paris for genuine French food with come nice twists - duck with figs for example -in restaurant with real atmosphere and interior style. Tables well separated . Nobody shouting to get heard by their companions. Very good value too with well priced wine selection- not too long as to confuse. It’s on our come back list.

A charming restaurant with lots of ambience. The service was right on, at the right pace. We had the scallops st. Jacque, for the starter. It was great to share and delicious. I had a filet of duck in a cream sauce that the waiter recommended. My husband had filet of pork in a Roquefort sauce, that not a morsel was left. Wonderful!

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. 3 adults and 2 children and we had the 3 courses for 29 euros. The staff were lovely and the food felt home cooked and worth the money. Very homely restaurant vibe.

A very cosy place with extremely good traditional French food! Delicious was not just the food, but also the place with this antique wooden ceiling and super nice waiter who helped us with the wine choice. Extremely recommended!

It was a charming restaurant and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful but it was only half full (or less) which took away from the atmosphere.

I've been here several times before. My food was very delicious. I like the historical building and ambience. The owners and wait staff were great. It is a great place in the Marais.

We reserved for 19.00 as we were coming from a Happy Hour in the neighborhood. The place was empty, after talking to a waiter, he told us to choose any table (great) and the server would be with us. She was charming and very helpful. The food was served quickly and was nicely presented. We both had the terrine de poisson which was good. Then, I had filet mignon de porc with a roquefort sauce, delicious! My friend had a salmon filet which he highly enjoyed. Both were served with an assortment of four side dishes, very nice. The restaurant itself is quite pretty; beamed ceiling, bare stone walls, candles,... Extremely Parisian, in the good sense of the term. Nothing "high-falluting", just good French food in a very pleasant setting served by charming people.

Our second dinner here during a 4 day trip and is was as good as last time. Delicious pork and duck and excellent deserts. Very friendly and helpful service. Great ambience.

would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a meal which doesn't come with pomme frittes. great variety of food in each category. interestingly plated, delicious flavors. delightful service, and very good value for money.
