I always like to come back to the fils de jules. Great food and wine and service. Has never disappointed me both in fish or meat dishes (this time had the Ceviche to start and an Entrecote as main). When i go there I always drink Ohitza red wine which is light - fruity and goes with everything.

Our absolute favourite already for several years, we keep on returning there for the excellent service by Andrea and her team. The food is lovely - we took the new assortment of pinxtos (Basque tapas) and it was divine. The wine cart presents the best of the Basque region and the terrace in the sun makes you dream of summer holidays.

Our second time there - I had the specials - duck liver pâté with fruit and sole as main course - my friend had stuffed peppers and a veal chop - they have great desserts but the portions were big so we didn’t have any this time - the wine was from the basque country and fit with both my choices. Again the same great quality nice atmosphere. Loved it!

Food awesome, we like the place. But the waiter (who worked previously at Les Papilles) is trying to be too nice and too funny and ends up being too present. We know he means good, but he should learn from his colleagues and stay more discrete.

Very nice staff, gossiping with clients. Really good food (although I would add garlic to chipirones). The decor a bit out-fashioned, not cosy enough. Rather for bigger groups than couples.

Overall, a very nice evening. Very friendly service. Nice atmosphere, the restaurant was nearly full but the noise level was fine. Quality of the food was very good, some pintxos even excellent. Very good value for money with the fork reduction.

We had the 8 pintxos for 59 euros (before reduction), the foie gras pintxos were the best. Overall good quality. The dessert (cake) was very good.

Excellent service in cosy, dimmed environment. Spanish, French and Basque dishes. Starters can be served as a full starter or an pintxo size/ tapas size. Excellent Foie Gras, Grilled Octopus with vegetables and noodles, very nice basque pie or gateau chocolat. Will be back

Very pleasant staff, welcome you and stay attentive throughout the meal. Our starter foie gras poelé on thin apple pue was absolutely scrumptious. I had the solettes à la plancha for main, very nicely dressed but not as tasty as I had hoped. Finished with a delicious cream'brulee . I highly recommend the place!

Very nice meal and extremely friendly service. It's nice to be someplace where the wait staff smile and are friendly. Unfortunately, this is not always the case in this city.
