Hidden gem just off L’Arc de Triomphe. We are a group of 20+ and are given the the whole upstairs, didn’t expect there’s such a semi exclusive area and it’s perfect for a group gathering. Foods and service are equally wonderful. Thank you and we’ll be back!

This was my second visit to Le Général. During my first experience, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding—the waitress was very, very friendly. This Sunday, I decided to return for another meal. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The veal escalope was cooked in overused oil and slightly burned, while the beef tartare was rather bland and could have had more flavor. On a positive note, the hummus was delicious. The highlight, once again, was the service—warm, attentive, and very friendly.

Food and wine were mediocre. The best French food is not found in these tourist areas. If you’re having trouble finding Sole Meunière, you’re in the wrong place.

Food was good as was the service, however notwithstanding service compris the waiter tried to get a tip. Went there a second time and the waitress didn’t try that on. So if it is a waiter and you’re not local then watch out!

Probably for something so close to the Arc de Triomphe this was pretty good and best in the area. More touristy than places we went but probably the best of a touristy lot. Food was ok, came out a little cold.
