First I should point out that our expectation were not in line with what the restaurant was offering. The listing in Fork and on the restaurant’s website did not list any menu items. It simply showed “Menu” and a few options for water. We misunderstood this to mean that there was a chef’s menu or tasting menu that changed day to day but we were mistaken. Instead the menu consists of a chalkboard with four or five charcuterie options, a couple of cheese platters and a choice of several steak/beef/veal and pork dishes. There are no starters, salads or vegetables available at all. So we had a cheese platter which we found to be unexceptional and we ordered a veal steak. Knowing we were less that thrilled with our options the staff offered to make a smaller veal steak and add an Iberian pork dish so we would have some variety. We accepted this offer but when we tried the pork we found it to be overcooked, dry and stringy. The veal steak was okay if a bit more to the medium than medium rare but again nothing exceptional. The staff continued to try and please us by bringing an additional flank steak which was very good and cooked to perfection but by that time we had eaten so much of the other meat we could not do justice to the final dish. I am sorry to have to give such negative feedback but I should point out again that the service was good and the staff really did try to find a way to make us happy but the difference between our expectations and reality were too great for their efforts to succeed. I should also mention that the wine selections are extensive so for a wine and cheese or charcuterie stop I am sure that it would be a completely different experience.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The owner (Romain) has got a whole cellar of wine for selection and he is so passionate about his work. We had a good meal here with the beef, pork and also the iberico pork, Gorgonzola cheese and the hazelnut cake dessert which I can’t pronounce in local French. Really awesome place to be in. You will be amazed at the details the team put into their food. The staff are very friendly as well. Really made us felt good and ate good. The wine he had recommended paired very well with our food I highly recommend you to pop over if you are around the area.

Fantastic wine cellar and knowledgeable host. All food items of very high quality. A fun evening with great food and wine. Will surely come back to enjoy other items of the menu.
