The physical beauty of the setting is always breath taking. The quality of the seafood and the fine preparations justify the prices. Our third visit. It will not be our last.

No seating arrangement when arriving 30 minutes earlier, though no customer. Expensive tourist trap.

Food is good but it’s a very expensive place for what it is. Also service is not great (arrogant and not very careful of our needs). Overall an OK ✅ lave if you want to try a bouillabaisse but there are much nicer and cheaper options around

I'm not usually compelled to leave reviews, but we were in disbelief at the unprofessional service here. Our white wine was served warm, with barely any ice in the ice bucket. The tureen of bouillabaisse which we had reserved two days ahead and cost 65 euro per person, was dumped on the table without any explanation, let alone ceremony. Was it supposed to be lukewarm? No idea--the red-haired waiter served us wordlessly, with a contempt that left us baffled. If we hadn't asked another server for the rouille, it might never have come. We also had to ask him for the fish we knew was the second course. When we complained to the manager as we were paying the bill, he nodded and smiled, and as we were leaving we saw him patting the rude red-haired waiter on the back. Indifferent service is one thing, but the lack of respect here, both for diners (who spoke French, btw) and the restaurant's own food, was overwhelming.

Very helpful staff, great food, and our apologies were accepted for being late! We got off at the wrong bus stop. Would be very happy to visit again. We didn't miss the late bus home, either.

Food was excellent - but you’d better like seafood, cause that’s all there is. Service was friendly - very little English spoken and no menu translations. Very nice casual, low key vibe.

We were 20 minutes late at our reservation. Despite our apologies, and after telling them we were leaving before the hour until our table was booked (2 hours according to the confirmation message), as it was the very last hour and the restaurant was almost empty (which wasn’t our fault), they refused to accept us, telling lies as “boullabeise has to be reserved 48h before”, which was not written anywhere. Finally, after discussing for a while, they decided to serve us the lunch, but in a very rude way, making us leave at 4 when they sent us a message where they indicated our table was booked until 4:30, without offering any service as drinks, or post lunch coffee or so, just a poor boullabeise, and the bill ready at 3:50 kicking us out of the restaurant, basically. After paying 70€ per person for that, I guess we deserved some kindness. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant at all, neither for there unkindness of the waiters, nor for the food, which, in addition, was disappointing.

The food was really nice, but the waitress was not nice, looked bored and didn’t have even the minimum knowledge how to serve people. Coming from a country where the service is great, we were disappointed. Overall 3/5 experience.

Was there 2 years ago and loved it so was looking forward to returning. Menu was really restrictive, dining area crammed. Service slow. Just not worth effort. Probably resting on former glory

A stunning view onto the local fishermen harbour while eating fresh lobsters and seabass. I recommend both together with grey mullet roe tarama as an entrée.

Some of the dishes were just not balanced. We got the worst table even though we asked in advance. Next to the kitchen they play the music really loud. Also quite expensive for what it was. For example if you take 3 oysters twice they charge you for 2x3 and not 6. Details that make it not quite a 5 star. Too bad.

Waterside dining with energy, flair and panache. This was our second visit in three weeks, and for our last supper in town. It’s a charming bistrot in a pretty port village with a great buzz, busy plus a place the local Marseillaise seek it out too. Daily specials are chalked up, from which we chose to share some Tuna ceviche and soft shell crab bhajis with a spicy mayo for entrees. However, this is Marseille and we were could not pass the hearty Bourride (for hungrier souls, book ahead for the substantial Bouillabaisse) Seated near the pass we could see other people’s choices coming through. Chef proprietor Benjamin Mathieu clocked me looking quizzically at one striking dish ready to go. He kindly explained that it was his sardine roll - a rich butter toasted brioche bun filled with a rilletes made of sardine, Cantabrian anchovies and poutarge (Provençal for local ‘caviar’ of Mullet fish eggs) - did we want to try one? Rude not to; it was superb. It’s busy, take your time and enjoy!
