Found Grand bleu on a restaurant search and was not disappointed. Delightful, friendly, wonderful meal. There was a little mix up on the reservation but they welcomed us graciously. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Unfriendly approach upon arrival, expensive for what you get and if you order a wine of 9,50 euro you do not expect it to be served with a full hand arround the glass. The temp…… don’t guess too warm.

The food was delicious, and tender. The wine recommendation was perfect and the staff was excellent! We had a lovely evening.

Nice restaurant and nice food… the owner could pay more attention to some details like clean glasses (lime stains) or clean cushion

We’ve been here several times. The decor is….quirky. All chrome, hard surfaces. Which means a somewhat chilly ambience. The reputation is for fish. There are several fish-themed specials. But the basis €34 menu has a choice of dourade or chicken as the mains. Both tasty and cooked well, but not special.

My grown-up boys and I came to Beaune to learn more about Burgundy wines (white and red). The food in Le Grand Bleu is excellent and so are the wines from a large wine list. The restaurant also offers lots of open wines with famous names if you can't drink a whole bottle. We like the patron who is a warm-hearted Frenchman who reminded us a bit to Louis de Funes ("Chez Septime"). He speaks several languages (French, English, German, Italian) and don't hesitate to ask him for a recommendation of wines or food. He is also willing to share his extensive knowledge about the wine-growing estates in the area. During our 2 days in Beaune we came each night to Le Grand Bleu. Our personal favourites in the set menu were monkfish or knuckle of lamb as a main. We shall definitely come back next time.

Excellent evening. My wife and I booked via The Fork for a Thursday night in August. The manager and his young waitress ensured we had a very good experience. The place is just off the main drag and thus less popular or expensive than some of the bigger, better-known places. We sat outside; parking was easy. I had the Menu Gourmand (€29) of fish soup, excellent steak and a rhubarb pudding. My wife had the Menu Grand Bleu (€39) with

On a hot day, it was a difficult day for the staff. The food was very good, but not exceptional.

Nice outdoor patio in front of the restaurant. Enjoyed the saxophone player as well.

The only downside was an extremely loud patron from New York. Her voice was so loud and obnoxious we could barely talk amongst ourselves. The owner was wonderful in acknowledging it post and the second half of our dinner was delightful. Great lobster!
