We were looking for a good vegetarian restaurant and went to this restaurant based on ratings and recommendations on 'The Fork'. However, this is just an average food joint with food that can be generously rated as average. We ordered several dishes and only the burger was somewhat ok.

Slow service where the people didn't seem to care if we were there or not. The food it's self was lacking flavor and anything that was fried had a taste of old oil.

I could not recommend Le Grenier de Notre Dame more highly. Thank you Hamidou! I was there yesterday , 28th November. In every way this restaurant is outstanding. I live in London and came over to Paris for the day so I could take my friends, visiting from Chicago (and celebrating a big birthday), to lunch I had remembered this beautiful gem of an establishment, in the heart of the Left Bank, from years ago. This was my friends 60th Birthday and Hamidou was so kind. I came early and he helped me ( with my limited French) and he made such merriment for us with cake and sprinkling candles on my friends's fabulous chocolate vegan cake. I am vegan and my chums are carnivores. We all had different meals and my friends said this was the best meal they had while in Paris! One million thanks to Hamidou for his kindness to me. Our meals were mouth watering! If you are going to Paris do not miss the chance to have a meal here.

Fresh and tasty food with excellent service. Good english spoken by the staff. We especially enjoyed the avocado /mango starter and the amazing sesame icecream.
