10/10We had a wonderful meal in this very authentic restaurant. It was away from tourist areas but well worth the walk. Very well paced dinner with multiple courses that were all delicious. He surprised us with champagne at the end of an excellent meal. Would highly recommend.

9.5/10Very friendly and attentive service. Good menu with a variety of French dishes, also including typical Alsatian cuisine (had the magret duck and salmon with risotto). Seems to be a favorite spot which was full all night with a combination of locals and tourists.

9/10Food was excellent, really good and tasty. service speed was good, however, it was assumed we were a different nationality and was given thats nationalities menu. When we explained we were english,l and would like the other menu. they gave us the correct menu promptly. however, when we later asked for the dessert menu, the same waiter gave us the assumed nationalities dessert menu (even though we had explained we were english). This lead to us not ordering dessert, and was the only issue with this restaurant. Would go there again though.

6/10This restaurant is okay. But what is aggravating is all the emails following aski no you to rate their food and service without the option to unsubscribe. The fork.com can kiss my ass.com. So irritating and I think illegal. Save yourself the spam and eat elsewhere.

9.5/10We were so happy with everything we experienced at this restaurant. There was a warm greeting, a quick seating. All aspects of the meal were timely and delicious. Lovely presentation and fantastic desserts. We would highly recommend.

4/10Service was awful. Waiters were running around, touching our dishes while we were eating, uninterested. Food was blend. We were sitting basically in a highway of running waiters and leaving and incoming clients. Hated every minute.

10/10This restaurant lives up to its reputation. The ambience is warm and inviting, without fussiness. The servers were all welcoming and friendly. They were helpful making suggestions throughout the meal. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My choucroute exceeded my expectations. My husband’s salmon on risotto was cooked to perfection. This was our first dinner in Strasbourg and this restaurant may get a second visit from us while we are here.

10/10I came on the 6th of August and the waiter enthusiastically introduced me to the specials on their little blackboard in English. I ended up choosing the oil-sealed duck breast for lunch, which was half cooked and had the texture of tuna sashimi, the vegetables underneath were marinated in the sauce and the buttered lumps were much more flavourful and tasty than the German Spätzle, and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the air conditioning was on and cool, and the service was prompt and on point.

6.5/10Le Kuhn had received very favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. That was the basis for our selection. But we found the experience unexceptional. Tables were laid out on the street, which was a bonus with Covid rates rising. But the downside was the staff were pleasant but inattentive, in part, I imagine, because the waiter was keen on gaining the attention of two women dining at a nearby table:) The selection of appetizers was uninspiring, either the local tarte flambée (think of a very thin pizza) or a small salad, So, we passed, A couple of staple dishes were unavailable. So, I ordered the hanger steak. It was cooked as I had ordered but had been heavily marinated, so it tasted quite salty. The accompanying french fries were a strange combination: undercooked and yet crunchy. My wife's salad gourmand was better generously portioned and fresh. Again, the list of desserts was uninspiring and we decided against it, looking for a nice ice cream at many of the nearby cafes. To be fair, we had spent a couple of months in Paris beforehand and are therefore used to good food. But there was nothing about our meal at Le Kuhn that would encourage me to return if I visit Strasbourg again.

10/10We had a delicious meal at Le Kuhn. Authentic local food, plentiful and tasty. Although the menu was in French is was easy to translate and the staff helpful. Good choice of local wine at reasonable prices The restaurant was busy and turned its tables over frequently but we never felt rushed. The two staff serving never stopped though!

9.5/10This little restaurant was a great find. The food and wine are very Alsatian and ready good. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a bit crowded probably because it’s one of the few restaurants open on Easter Monday. All good things, nothing bad to say about this place.

10/10Wonderful food and friendly service. Great prices with larger portions. I had a pave de saumin - salmon on a bed of risotto also included vegetables. My husband had a palette fumee - ham and potatoes and sauerkraut and spicy mustard in a pot. Also had a light red wine. I would definately return here

8/10This restaurant was busy on a Friday night so reservations are a must. Though only two people were serving, all went smoothly. This was my first time in Strasbourg and I had not tasted Alsacien cuisine before. The green salad was generous and consisted of more than just lettuce (which is often the case in Burgundy where I live). I ordered jambonneau cooked in beer with choucroute and boiled potatoes. The jambonneau was tender and the sauerkraut was less flavoured than what I expected. But then this was my first experience.

8.5/10Really good food. Staff are really nice and polite. I was 12 mins late due to someone in my party being late, and they did not mind it at all. It was pretty quiet at first but when more people came, it got loud and difficult to hear.

6/10When your server sees that you have left most of your meal uneaten and your knife and fork in the “finished” position, it might prompt an inquiry. No, it prompted a comment from the server that I wasn’t finished. He then turned and walked away. My wife enjoyed her meal more—a fish and shrimp skewer. Average food in an average location. Won’t be returning.

9.5/10Great bistro-type restaurant with exquisite specials and a standard regional menu. The foie grass was good but ser ed a little too cold. The steer steak with a really uniquely prepared wild rice & chorizo sauce as well as the risotto St. Jacques were memorable. Not cheap but good value for your money. And lots of local atmosphere. Small wine list but the Pinot Gris from Joseph Scharsch is a full recommendation. We will definitely return.

8/10We chose Le Kuhn as it was located near our Best Western hotel on Rue Le Kuhn. We wanted to start our stay in Strasbourg with Alsatian specialties. We chose the Alsacien menu, which was a good choice for this. The sausage salad was deliciously prepared, the haxe in red wine sauce tender and tasty, the sauerkraut a little lax. For dessert a successful sorbet in strong fruit brandy (variety ?). Everything harmonized and we had a good start for our Strasbourg stay.
