On the evening we visited, there were few customers. Compared to the lunch we had there a few days before, the ambience just wasn’t the same. Food was good, apart from the salad which had a hair in it. Service was ok, a waiter brought food for another table to us and stood there not knowing what to do when we told him it wasn’t our order… On the basis of the excellent service and food quality at the previous lunch though, would still highly recommend to go at a busy time when the experienced staff are on duty.

Have been traveling for 5 weeks and I am pretty fussy as an ex chef. UK, Paris, south of France and many researched restaurants in Italy. Le Lanterne is the best restaurant I have eaten at. Super friendly, very accommodating and the food was outstanding. Fried calamari & pasta Amatriciana were perfect. We were here 11 years ago and glad to see that it is still here and not changed. The restaurant is clean and very comfortable. I most definitely will be back

This charming restaurant was perfect for our dinner in Rome. It was convenient to our hotel and we loved it so much we went twice during our stay - once for lunch and once for dinner! We had pasta and a steak. Delicious! Close to the Trevi Fountain.

Fantastic pastas - ravioli and lasagne was great, pasta with frutti di mare also was very good. Great service - owners were very kind and honest people. Highly recommended!

Lovely lunch. Recommended by a friend and very grateful. Off the tourist packed streets. We made a reservation, we're greeted very pleasantly and continued excellent service throughout the meal. We were two but there were two long tables of 20 having fun but all well mannered and noise a pleasant buzz but not loud. Gilled Bass and grilled vegetables perfectly cooked. My husbands salad nicoise very nice and the Waitor did not do much as shutter when my English husband asked for mayonnaise ????

The food was very nice and the service friendly, attentive and super reactive ! We had a nice table outside along the road but it was fine. Puzza was good and with very generous toppings. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and the service was also very attentive to them. I recommend !

This restaurant is located quite well. Not to close to Fontanna di Trevi but within a 3-4 minutes of walk. Thanks to that it is not too loud inside. The food Was delicious and waiter was very kind and helpful. I totally recommend this place

Despite Fork confirmation the restaurant claimed no knowledge of the booking and had no tables free. They handled this pretty well but then got the order wrong. Starters were very ordinary but mains were better

My pizza came out early and the waitress attempted to serve to another table. After they informed her that was not their pizza, she took it to the back where it remained for around 10 mins. It was then brought back out to me stone cold. I told them this, and they took the pizza, re-heated it in the microwave and brought the same pizza back. The dough was hard and the cheese not great. Disappointing. I should have been given a new pizza.

Probably best NOT to book using The Fork booking service. Although we had email confirmation of our reservation we were told by the surly owner that he didn’t have our booking, that online bookings don’t work, and that we should have rung to secure a booking. He did manage to squeeze us in to a corner table, but made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable in front of our friends. Food was fine but not his attitude. Wouldn’t rush back.
