10/10Outstanding and delicious food!! It's located in the center of a bustling neighborhood. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The decor was modern and eclectic. It reminds me of stopping by my uncle's house pretending that I was just "in the neighborhood" knowing that he had already prepared a great meal and he would ask me if I wanted to join him for dinner. Of course, the answer was always a resounding yes. A nice restaurant for a first date or family dinner that is reasonably priced and high quality food with large portions. If you like soul food or comfort food, then you definitely must try Le Maquis before leaving Paris.

6/10The service was lukewarm at best. We showed up at the time of the reservation. They took their time opening the door, asking for our order, and never checked on us. I’ve been to this restaurant before and my experience then was fantastic. Seriously disappointed in this visit.

8/10The food was very good, me and my friends did enjoy our meal. I wish they improve the beverage especially the hibiscus drink because usually it s a sweet beverage but this time it has less sweet taste. Besides, the opening meal "Foutou" was good but that is not appropriate as an opening meal. It is too heavy and we had issues to take something else after.

5/10I have had my eye on this establishment for a while, all the way from the US. I made reservations for my daughter's birthday for a total of 3 people. We were so excited. We got immediately off the train, checked into our room and headed over. We were about 15 minutes late (we're tourists so it took us a minute) and from the moment we stepped in the door, the service was HORRIBLE!!! It was so horrible, that we couldn't even enjoy the food. I tried to explain to the waiter that we came all the way from the U.S and that were were celebrating my daughters Birthday, just thinking maybe he would give us better service...welp, that didn't work. We ate our food because we were starving and went our way. Do not recommend and will not be returning when I am in Paris.
