We discovered this handsome restaurant on a quiet night. Our charming servers were attentive and their sense of humour was a treat. The entrées of scotch egg and smoked salmon were great choices. The steak and sea bass were hits and the “andouillette” was more of an acquired taste option. The three of us enjoyed our dessert picks. This eatery is a place we’d recommend without hesitation and we hope to return.

We loved our experience at le Mathusalem. The owner greeted us at the door, showed us to our table, and explained every dish on the menu. Sweet ambience…a 16th arr treasure!

We LOVED our dinner at Le Mathusalem! Wonderful staff, incredible food, and a lovely ambiance. And oh my goodness - the desserts! We tried the sorbet and a lemon tart and were blown away by both. This was one of our favorite dinners since we moved to Paris in April. It was our first time dining here, but definitely will not be our last!

It was so unfortunate that the cuisine of the restaurant was not up to its normal standard of excellence last night. I live nearby and have frequented Mathusalem over the years. Even the fries were average, ok... I will return though.

Great welcome and service throughout the evening. Food was delicious and presented well. Good choice of wine. The place had a really nice buzz - not the place to go for a nice quiet meal but for a family or friend catch up where you can relax and chat away.

Typical French bistrot. Very good, fresh and tasty food. Renewed menu card (yes indeed I had already come the day before). Impressive wine list: Daniel gently advised us. Friendly and very welcoming owners and staff.
