3/10We had high hopes for this place. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. There were fruit flies everywhere. The food was average at best. We have been to many similar style brassieres in the area and this one fell short.

9.5/10As a solo traveler, I truly appreciate an attentive and friendly staff. I was greeted warmly and everyone I encountered was lovely. The food was outstanding as was my wine choice. I ordered the rabbit roulades as a starter, the zander with spinach for the main and the brest for dessert. Everything was wonderful! I especially liked the rabbit which was perfectly seasoned with rosemary. I'll be back in Paris in a few weeks and have already reserved a table. I highly recommend!

8.5/10A truly French bistrot experience: traditional dishes, very large selection of wines by the glass, and extremely reasonable prices. A very good bargain, especially in this district.

9.5/10Have loved this restaurant since I first visited it in 2006 and had the best coq au vin in my life (note the menu is seasonal and this is a winter dish!). Visited twice again since then and tonight was consistent with my previous experiences which likely is why this lovely bistro has endured this long!

6.5/10We ordered two small Mesturet menu (main + dessert) and would not come back again. Main: The beef tartare with potatoes was good but the vegetarian choice consisted in a huge portion of bland squash pie without a specific flavour profile. The same issue of lacking flavour profile we had with desserts: for two French cheese lovers, the cheese platter was a huge disappointment. Out of a selection of 5 cheeses, only the camembert had a decisive flavour - the others were so mild that we had tastier ones from the local supermarket. The coffee gourmand consisted of three pieces of very mild but very sugary cakes. It is not sweetness alone that makes a cake good... On the bright side: our waiter was very kind and the overall atmosphere familiar.

10/10If you go to Paris you must come here! The service was really good and both our waiters were very friendly, you could tell they liked their job. The food was delicious and the portions were massive, really good value for money!

6/10The atmosphere was completely not right for a romantic diner: it's not really a restaurant, more of café/brasserie. The main courses were correct but far from inspiring, the desert (crème caramel) was plainly bad, as was the wine accompanying the meal. To make things worse, they billed us for two full “menus” even though we did not use them fully (unfortunately, we’ve noticed it only after leaving).

10/10I couldn’t have had a better experience at the restaurant. My partner and I wanted to have a romantic dinner during our stay and opted for Le Mesturet. Although my starter wasn’t personally enjoyable, I still enjoyed my main and desert. The customer service was exceptional, and after my attentive waitress noticed that I didn’t eat much of my entree, she knocked the dish off the bill. My partner and I had a wonderful experience here and look incredibly forward to coming back in the future. Thank you very much!

7.5/10This was our third visit to this restaurant. The food was good this time, but not as good as the first two visits. If you try the special Brest dessert, only get one for your table. It is huge.

10/10Really nice place for an early dinner! Duck magret on skewers was tasty, rockfish was cooked to perfection, but the real star was the dessert menu - gigantic serving sizes, so save some space. Friendly staff too!

7.5/10Meal is delicious. And good location, easy to access. Nice environment and mood. I had my meal alone, but it is also a good place for groups with friends or family. Will go again next time I am in Paris.

8/10Friendly service, able to converse in English. The meals were okay but not over-exciting - except for the upside-down apple tarte which was excellent. Good range of open wines. The range of dishes offered is not very broad but sufficient; fish and vegetarian dishes are not a strong point of the Mesturet. Two children menus which is not exactly a broad choice if your children are a bit picky. The atmosphere was nice.

8.5/10The restaurant was great. However, make sure the reservations you make with these websites really get to the restaurant: we were supposed to have a reservation with the fork and they had to squeeze us in. Never had heard of our reservation!!!

6/10Had been here once before and recalled a good experience. This evening's experience was really disappointing. It's a lovely, lively and affordable little restaurant. However, the food, overall, was really off - the steak was tough and tasteless and the cod tasted bland and likely just out of the freezer. There must have been at least 1-11/2 hour wait between first and second course. The saving grace was the friendly and accommodating wait staff. The chef was at the door handing out restaurant postcards as we left which made me feel like I was exiting a tourist trap. Will not go beack again.

8.5/10I went to this restaurant with my cousin, since my cousin wanted to taste traditional French food and I found this restaurant with good reputation online. It turned out to be a great choice! The food was typically French style and the service was satisfying. They offer menus in French, English and Chinese which makes it quite international.

9.5/10Le Mesturet is uncommon in Paris in that it's the sort of restaurant that stays open throughout the day — something that led me to expect a less-than-great experience, given how much easier it is to make great, fresh food and serve it when there is a limited time meal service. I was stunned by how wrong I was, when I visited with a friend at 6:30pm (early dinner by Parisian standards) — service was efficient and courteous, and the food was absolutely hot and delicious! The 26€ formula for main dish (plat) + dessert is what I had (and I recommend) — I had the Limousin Lamb Pastilla (taste 10/10, though the presentation of the squash and coriander loaf really needs work), and the Profiteroles with Lavender ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. If you're ever near the Louvre or the Comédie Française, this is the place to eat!
