6/10I had quite high expectations for this restaurant but for me the food was underwhelming, especially for the price. The attentive service and the lovely crème brûlée (that we got for desert) evened out our experience somewhat. For the ambiance: The dining room looks really charming, but I would have preferred more ambient music like smooth jazz (the pop music did not really fit the atmosphere). Maybe we were unlucky with our main courses (perch & pasta), but I’m glad for the Fork’s 30% discount.

10/10The service is fabulously excellent, from reservation to the bill the employees were very client’s oriented. Will come back just because of the quality of the people. Food was good and tasty. Dessert’s menu is too healthy for my taste. Would not hurt to have a cake, pie or something chewy, everything was “mousse”. Will definitely come back

10/10This restaurant is an institution in Lausanne boasting some of the most professional waiters and excellent unpretentious food. We have been coming here for at least a decade and it always delivers. I like the atmosphere with a fire place and plenty of privacy.

8.5/10We went to Le Mirabeau for a business dinner. Our tables were in an area allowing us to speak without disturbing others and also keeping it quiet for us. Service was prompt and efficient. Overall the food was very good and we received- a couple of nice vegetarian/vegan options for one of our guests were much appreciated. One guest had a disappointing experience with his main: he was expecting a bavette and definitely got something else - they offered later on to make something else for him, which he declined. I can confirm from other guests the bavette was indeed very nice. All other starters and mains were well prepared and well received. The wine list is good as well. I would definitely consider dining there again when next in Lausanne.

10/10Great restaurant, with a wide range of meat dishes and very tasty apertizers. In autumn they also offer plenty of delicious games plates. The staff is friendly and competent. We love Mirabeau and we will continue to go there. Absolutely recommended.

7/10I was expecting the restaurant would use the indoor area instead of the outdoor because the weather was hot that day. My booking was at 9pm but I could still endure the heat. However, it was very welcoming atmosphere from the staff. The food overall was good and tasty for my appetite.

9/101st visit - loved the wonderfully quiet and shady terrasse! Very friendly and attentive service. We also felt very welcome with our baby. The food is good - particularly the dessert (chocolate mousse) was very delicious. We benefitted of a fork promotion and with this the price was a deal - without it would have been on the pricey side

8/10We selected this restaurant because we believed (incorrectly) that it was air conditioned, on a very hot day in Lausanne. We were disappointed to learn that we were wrong about the air conditioning, but he servers accommodated us by relocating our group to a table with fresh air from outside, which helped with our comfort somewhat. The service was excellent and the food was very good, typical fare for Lausanne.

7.5/10Our family thought each of our meals was very tasty. Unfortunately the waitstaff was so busy that we were never asked if we wanted a second glass of wine or anything else. Once we asked for our check we waited over 40 minutes. The lack of service would make us think twice about returning.

10/10This is an excellent restaurant. The food from the CHF 65 set menu was of a high standard and served very promptly. Overall it seemed good value for money. The waitress who served me was welcoming and helpful and the service could not be faulted.

10/10We were wowed by Le Mirabeau just walking in. If the food, we thought, was going to be on par with the ambiance and greeting, this was going to be a great meal. And it was. My wife started with a salad and I opted for the soupe de poissons. Both excellent. We then each went with steak, my wife’s with bearnaise and me with a peppercorn sauce. The meat was cooked to perfection and was as tender as could be. The sauces and accompanying fries made our mains perfect. With drinks and dessert the ran around CHF 150 (pre Fork discount), pricey but worth it.

9.5/10This restaurant is a gem and mainstay in Lausanne, one of the best places to get top quality dishes, such as filets de perche from Lake Geneva, plus many specialties from the region and beyond. Often the suppliers are indicated on the menu. The atmosphere is private; the waitstaff extremely professional. First class in my book.
