Really cute, old fashioned French bistro. Very kind staff. Very charming. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and want a pleasant evening.

Having read about la Mistral in Ann Mah’s book decided to go. It was as she described, an old bistro, no fuss, good old fashioned French food. Escargots, lamb, pear tart - all good. Sit downstairs if you are not a smoker as the smoking room is up there.

A happy discovery in lively Belleville. You can imagine being in a quiet village in the Auvergne, with snails and aligot on the menu, charming surroundings and impeccable service.

Divine. Real, authentic, humble French food in a cute atmosphere with warm and inviting staff. They were patient with my terrible French and prompt and kind. Dinner was incredible but I also eat breakfast (a coffee and a croissant) here most mornings. This is where all the locals come for their espresso too. The little courtyard out the back is a delight when the weather is good.

Our family had dinner together here on recommendation from a local during a weekend visit.it was everything we wanted,a charming couple who managed to serve all their guests with efficiency and great charm, delicious traditional French food ,five of us had different meals and all were packed with flavour, quality and freshness. The Pork was the agreed best dish. We took their recommended wines as a perfect accompaniment and we're glad of our choice. Our only regret is that we cannot come here regularly. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
