Well, we loved it! Small restaurant, great food, lovely wine and fantastic friendly service! Book it and let the main guy pick your plate of food if you’re a little adventurous. Honestly, we couldn’t fault anything at all - the photos of the restaurant make it look bland however it’s completely the opposite. This little restaurant serves amazing Italian food and wine. If I was to suggest anything it would be to change the colour of the mezzanine ceiling and add a few sparkly lights x

The food and service were both excellent. The server took time to explain the menu to us and make some great recommendations. It’s a wine bar so they don’t serve beer but that was only a minor issue

We made a great choice for our farewell dinner in Milan! Le Pape Bistrot is a modernly decorated space, with super attentive staff who are very well informed about the ingredients, the details of each dish and beautiful wine pairing suggestions. Last but never least, Chef Luca Maestroni's signature dishes! Highly recommended!

Extraordinary food, ambience and service by the chef himself. I had the beef tartare with creamy Roquefort, pistachio powder and red onions with balsamic vinegar. Superlative. I followed with beef diaphragm with its gravy and an outstanding purée of carrots, sage, rosemary, ginger and chives. The flavors of this special dish are strong and encounter my personal taste. I accompanied my meal with a glass of Ovada reduction wine from Piedmont, perfect for the decise flavors of my meal. We were served by the chef himself, a very competent and kind young man. Strongly advised.

Relevant experience having chosen the set menù. Food is really good. Service excellent. Small and nice venue ideal for romantic or work dinners.

Great place to experience creative, young, and adventurous food... a fantastic culinary experience for those daring to escape downtown and discover the less touristy Milan.

We were treated perfectly, the waiter was fast and attentive, he advised on the wine which was excellent, got both a welcome drink and a truffle at the end, and food was delicious - good portions. 100% recommended and will probably go there again myself!

Cozy and upscale dining environment, Excellent service , amazing food - delicate, balanced, flavourful. The best value-pricing we’ve had. Definitely a must go!

Hidden gem in Milan! So glad we found it! Went here several times for delicious cuisine and friendly feel-like-home service. The wine list is a super selection too! Definitely come back next time in Milan))
