10/10This place should be full every night. Experiential in a sense. Tucked away and intimate, excellent food, great service, good laughs and positive experience, with humblingly good flavors. The entrees, plats, and dessert - with wine paired - without rush or lack of service - were just plains life at its best over a meal. Really special and more than worth the time to come too.

10/10My wife and daughter are visiting Paris for the first time and do not speak French. As such, we've felt a little awkward when trying to order in French restaurants. We were politely greeted by the owner upon arrival and immediately felt at ease. He was very patient with us and gracefully reviewed the enter menu with us. Me and my daughter ordered steak, which was perfectly cooked. My wife ordered the cod which she thoroughly enjoyed. The food was excellent, as was the service. We enjoyed a delicious dessert of assorted cakes and the best coffee I had all week. This was by far the best dining experience we had in Paris during our 5 day visit. If we were residents, we would dine here every week. If I could rate this restaurant higher than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Dear John, thank you, firstable, for your friendly review ! I am glad to read you felt welcome and at your ease ! I know that I have an advantage compared to my french friends : speaking not a fluent but a very correct english language !!!! ;-P We are proud to read you noticed the quality of our products as our way of cooking : we select by ourselves all our raw products, and then everything - even sauces and marinades - are homemade. Only quality products (even for the coffee !!!!) Small menu, I agree, but authentic. It is really a pleasure for my wife - Chef of the restaurant - and I to know you spent a good moment in our Paradise ! Best regards from both of us, Argentine & Patrick (and I never use Google translator for my replies !!! :-D )

10/10We chose this because it was a pleasant distance to walk AND the reviews were very good. It lived up to our expectations! Attentive, very friendly, service, very clear explanation of the dishes (in English!) and prompt arrival of our starter, then our main courses. The scallops were excellent - we shared - and the mushrooms and sauce were so good that my husband who usually won’t eat mushrooms at all, ate and enjoyed them. My steak and roasted potatoes were excellent, and the salad was just the right touch of freshness. My husband enjoyed his meal just as much. We will be in Paris a few more days and might go back for another meal!

10/10Our first meal on our trip to Paris over the Christmas/New Years holidays was exceptional. We were so happy with every bit of our experience: the cordial greeting and professional service, the quality of the food, and the relaxing ambiance of this small gem of a restaurant. A friend who lives in Paris recently ate here and recommended it to us, and we are grateful that she did so. I had the scallops and shrimp with mushrooms starter - delicious! We both had the 4-hour cooked lamb shank accompanied by the potatoes dauphinoise and a fresh green salad. I had not expected to have dessert but could not resist, so we both indulged and were very pleased. We did not leave one bit of food behind. The wine list was small, but we found it easy to make a selection and were very happy with the wine we chose. We can highly recommend this charming restaurant to others looking for an authentic French dining experience with excellent value for the money. Unfortunately the cassoulet was not on the menu during this trip, but it should return once the holidays are over, and that will provide us an additional excuse to return.

10/10We three women were visiting Paris from Australia and so arrived for dinner before anybody else did (7pm). This lovely restaurant is run by a husband and wife team who welcomed us very warmly. It's obvious that they both take great pride and pleasure in presenting a delicious seasonal menu that changes with availability of quality produce. When our French was lacking, he was happy to describe the choices for us. He is also endearingly proud of his wonderful wife the chef. The food was amazing! Simple dishes were raised to the stars! We would love to return one day.

10/10We ended up here based upon other reviews and so glad that we did. Casual atmosphere inside and the food was delicious. Prices on both food and wine/ beer are excellent. On a holiday night so it was a bit less busy than usual and the owner could have not have been nicer. He had time to talk to us a bit and we really enjoyed the experience. His wife who does all of the cooking also stopped by to say Hi. He took time with us to explain every item on the chalkboard menu and gave us his opinion on what he thought we would like best. Had the wine from his hometown and the suggested beer was excellent. For desert had a hard time choosing so got the 3 desert sampler and what a great way to end a wonderful meal and experience. We were taking a picture of the outside after dinner and the owner surprised us with a pose in the doorway that just made our night!

9.5/10I choose to eat here based on the great online reviews and the fact it was just a 15 minute walk from my hotel. I was blown away by this restaurant. The husband and wife run everything. They are the sole employees and work 6-7 days per week, all day, 48 weeks per year. Their dedication is tremendous. The food quality is fantastic, above any cafe I've visited in Paris in the last two weeks. They go out of their way to source meat from free range sources. They are so friendly. Also, the markup of the wine list, mainly sourced from the Languedoc region, is only 30%. In the USA it would be 150%! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Come casual, as it is not a fussy atmosphere. You won't regret it.

10/10We had dinner at Le Paradis des Amis in our first night in Paris and it could not have been a better experience. The host was knowledgeable, warm, helpful and delightful. The food - from appetizers to dessert - was spectacular. We enjoyed the experience so much that we spent our final night in Paris at Le Paradis as well. Beautiful people + terrific food = a memorable evening. Cheers to this fine establishment. Bon appetite!

10/10We were really pleased to find this gem of a restaurant. The service was exceptionally welcoming and helpful (menu translated for us) and the food was superb. Do try the baked egg even if it seems unlikely. All around a lovely night out in a lovely city.

10/10Terrific restaurant! Patrick is a most welcoming host. The food was authentic French cuisine prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Wine was outstanding! The prices are incredibly reasonable. When we are next in Paris, my wife and I will definitely return to eat here. To all reading this review, you will not regret making a booking at this restaurant!

10/10Great food in general. We all loved the baked egg entrée. Yolk was of warm and runny while the whites had a really hearty flavor as they had bits of carrots, french beans and I think onions. Creme fraiche seemed to also be in it. Definitely recommend this dish. As for the mains, we had the salmon and cod. To be honest, I feel like the cod was not salted so I wasn't all that enthusiastic about it. It was otherwise cooked well. The basmati rice rhat came with both fish dishes was interesting on its own but I feel like having potatoes instead or as an option would have been better. We also ordered the sausage thing and ribs. I wasnt able to give the meat a try but my companions were very happy with these. The former came with mashed potatoes while the latter had potato gratin. The potatoes are a great addition tbh. Wish the fish also came with either of the 2 potato sides. Service is good. Host is polite and really helpful in explaining everything in English for us. They serve water for free as well.
