We went to Le Pecheur on a last minute booking with the Fork. It was a cold night and you’d expect the restaurant to be warm and welcoming. Unfortunately apart from a couple of electric heaters it was uncomfortably cold. The food was average, we had calamari to start which was uniform from a packet and fried. My main was a Brussels classic, Moules- Frits. This was bland, uninteresting and the smallest portion of Frits which were overcooked. We won’t return as I know there are better warmer restaurants in Brussels. At 50% off via the Fork it was OK.

When I came into the restaurant, the service staff instructed me to leave my umbrella in a container under their care. When I was leaving the place I realized that my umbrella had been stolen, and I informed that situation to the service staff, and they did nothing to resolve the situation ( even the manager ) evading their responsibility, they told me can not do nothing about it. ( before that situation I had leaving a tip of 10 €, of course I regret that ) I had to leave the restaurant, walking in the rain without an umbrella. I don’t recomended this place .

Tables are too close, you’re eathing together with other couples and families. Seafood plate was ok. We ate better oysters before in Greece so we think they were ok, food is overall 4/5. Sorbet was mediocre. Service is fine and fast. Personel was kind and helpful. Location is perfect, in the centre.

Quite surprised with the high rated reviews. Hmmm.... Nothing special to be honest. The interior was not good, and dated, the staircase is too narrow, not up to standard for health and safety reasons. Food was okay, we waited very long time for our mains. Mussel was standard, I am sure you can get something similar or better in town. Bread? We returned to them. I won't recommend to come specially for this restaurant. But they are okay to eat if you are near and cannot find anything better to have.

Lovely food and good service, Restaurant was very busy with an animated atmosphere. Tables are placed very close together: our table was immediately adjacent to the stairs to the floor above, meaning a constant stream of waiters and customers walking past us and on 2.occasions bumping against my chair.

We had three different types of mussels and they were all very good. The paella was alright but not typically Spanish (we question whether it was made with Spanish rice and saffron, both of which are essential for a good paella). The service was good!

The food quality is quite good, above average for this area of Brussels. The waiters absolutely do their best to try and accommodate everyone however, that does mean making a reservation doesn’t really give you any advantage. You will still have to stand in the line of people queuing outside to be seated. It took an additional 30 minutes after having been seated to actually receive the menu. The place feels really crowded and the fact that someone’s coming or going through the main entrance about every 30 seconds means anyone sitting on the ground floor will be caught by the draft and feel quite cold.

Great location, fun environment and great service. Our party of 2 started with a Mixta salad which was delicious, perfectly dressed and fresh. My husband had the mussels, which were plentiful and tender but served with way too much chopped garlic. I had the lobster, which again had way too much chopped garlic that overpowered the delicate flavor. The lobster was also tough, which I know is hard to control. The wine list needs improvement. It contains only average quality wines by the bottle and poor quality wines by the glass. I ordered an Aperol spritz to start. It was made with a terrible Prosecco that tasted like Sprite and the server graciously took it back. The service was very attentive, which helped make average food and wine better.

I ordered a fish dish with fries and it was all very bland tasting. Fries tasted like right out of the freezer. There were very few customers in the restaurant but I had to finally ask for my check after being finished and sitting there for 20 minutes.
