They denied my reservation and said that they don't take reservations through your platform, so needless to say, I was very upset having traveled with 3 other people to get there. Not nice people.

We were looking for traditional French food (boeuf bourguignon & duck confit) and were attracted by this restaurant's menu selection, reasonable prices and rating. It exceeded our expectation. Beef, duck, appetizers (mussels & snails) and dessert (tarte tatin) were tasty and made of freshest ingredients. Price was surprisingly fair--63€ including above and 3 glasses of wine. Service was friendly, prompt and professional.

There are dozens of small restaurants in the area and we chose this one due to good reviews. It was a disappointment. Tables are small and crowded in. The menu was varied but the food quite mediocre….confit duck was tough, over baked, dry and the pommes fifties were cold. Salad greens were wilted and the goat cheese toasts tasteless. Service is hurried and frantic and first and then stalled as we waited for a long time to get the bill. Instead of soothing music to add to the ambience, the restaurant played a radio station with questionable music interspersed by obnoxious advertisements and loud commentaries. Choose another place!

Le Petit Bistrot was exactly what we were looking for. Calm and cozy atmosphere, smiling and responsive staff, professional and fast service, excellent cuisine with typical local dishes and nice music. Thank you for the warm welcome and delicious meals! I can't forget your unique onion soup, the snails and the wonderful wine! We will visit you again! Highly recommended!!!

We love this restaurant whenever we go to Paris. First-class food, wonderful service from Effe who always serves us with great care and affection. Our most delicate corner of Paris.

Our sixth dinner here in two years. Despite being on a busy tourist street and offering the standard bistro dishes from a laminated menu, we keep returning for our favorite confit de canard in all of Paris , served with a side of extraordinary potatoes that are best likened to potato chips on steroids dusted with a mere suggestion of garlic and parsley. The escargot is a definitive rendition of the classic preparation and the beef carpaccio is excellent. We spend three months a year in Paris, doing some serious eating and for our taste, the integrity and authenticity of this place is hard to beat. Family owned and operated with delightful gracious service, extremely well priced offerings and a no frills but delicious wine list, we wish we had found it sooner.

We made a late reservation for 6 and thought it might be an issue, but the restaurant was wonderful, cozy and perfect for our dinner. The food was outstanding - a true French restaurant - and we would love to return in the future.

I made a reservation in advance, which was very easy on their website. We were taken right to our table when we walked in. Although I spoke a bit of French, the staff mostly spoke English as well and were very nice. The menu was great, with great prices. The food was great, especially the soupe à l’oignon! They had an a la carte menu, and also a set menu with starter and main course and dessert for a great price! This was our first night in Paris and this restaurant set the bar high. It did not disappoint.

Authentic great tasting French bistro with great service. A wonderfully warm welcome from Efi and we were quickly seated in the window overlooking Rue Mouffetard (situated in the fifth arrondissement of Paris - one of Paris's oldest and liveliest neighbourhoods (that also has the most amazing fresh fruit, seafood, meat, cheeses). The menu is in both French and English and Efi is fluent in English which meant all our questions were answered and she assisted in our menu selections. Fresh baguette slices were complimentary and the perfect start to our evening. We shared a Panache de salade aux lardons et oeuf poche (mixed salad with bacon and poached egg) for starter – fresh, delicious and a generous portion. For main course my husband had the Confit de canard, pommes sautees (duck confit, fried potatoes) which was the best he has ever eaten – perfectly cooked and so exquisite. I had the entrecote grille sauce au choix (steak which I had with bearnaise sauce) which was excellent with a very tasty bearnaise sauce. Drinks were really well priced. We had a bottle of Cotes du Rhone 2020 red wine which was a good accompaniment to our meal. Service really made our night wonderful too – with the warmth, attentiveness and professionalism of Efi. Thanks Efi, our first night in Paris! We’ll be back!
