This is our (mine and my husband) kind of restaurant: small menu of very fresh, seasonal items, not very many tables, and great service. I have to say, this chef has a masterful touch with balancing flavors in his dishes. I was about to pull some bean sprouts off my dish and my husband reminded me how the chef creates his dishes. So I decided to trust it...hubby was right. The balance of flavors was perfect and wouldn't have been the same without the spouts. This will become a regular restaurant for us, I'm sure.

I dined her for lunch as a solo diner after making reservations earlier in the day. The host was very pleasant and helped me as my French is sadly very weak. The meal was outstanding as was the recommendation for the wine. The service is very good and the food extremely delicious, well prepared, and looked beautiful. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant and would recommend reservations as it was quite busy.

the food was good, the ambience is a bit strange because I felt it was too crowded, but overall go give it a try, you will not regret it!

+1We had a delightful lunch June 10. And a very good value for money. The chef and waiter were constantly circulating among the tables answering questions in French and English. They were very welcoming and friendly. But what about the food? It was strikingly beautiful and crazy delicious. Photos to follow. Highly recommended!

This is the kind of Lyonnaise restaurant I always imagine. Small place, Chef/owner in the kitchen and visiting with guests, excellent service, INCREDIBLE food, very reasonable charges. The menu is small, two items in each category: entree (before the main if you are from the US) main, and dessert. It consists of menu items that include the freshest ingredients of the season. The "melange" (mixture) of flavors was vibrant, deep and balanced. What an incredibe food evening. Seriously, we will be back to this establishment time and time again.

Our lunch at Le Poivron Bleu in May 2025 was just as good as the evening meals we enjoyed there in May 2023 and 2024. We hope to return in 2026!

I had a very pleasant dinner with friends, we had the starter, main course and dessert formula, accompanied by the server's recommendation for the wine. The food was very good, unfortunately although we ordered on time there were not enough starters, and we received different ones than the ones we had ordered. The main course was delicious, and both dessert options were excellent, finger-licking good.

+1The menu is very often changed by great chef, so you may expect for something new each time, but it always has an amazing taste and beautiful serving. Not only quality stays on the first place, but also healthiness - thus dishes always keep nutrition balance and quantity of food on your plate as well as cost for full menu (38€). We were there 2 times and it is still the best restaurant for me. And I am very fastidious to everything, just to know.

This restaurant had been recommended to us by our food tour guide in Paris and it did not disappoint. We have discovered that in France you pay just as much for poor food as good food. This was good! We were a big group of ten and all we all felt the team had a passion for what they were doing. The chef even came out and explained our desserts which we thought was a nice touch. The food had the x factor and was delicious.

6 of us dined here last night. Every one of us were delighted by the experience! The service was wonderful!!! Our waiter explained each dish in detail, and described how he could modify dishes to be gluten free for one of our group. He was charming. And the food was magnificent!!!! We all took our first bites of each course and exclaimed-wow!!! So good, and layer upon layer of taste!!!! This is a restaurant not to be missed!

This restaurant was top-notch, with some of the friendliest, kindest service I've ever experienced, from the two gentlemen who were managing/serving. The food was simply amazing, among the best I've ever had, and nice portion sizes too. Everything was top-notch from start to finish. Tres magnifique.

Amazing find - the best desert I’ve ever had and the best lamb I had as well. The waiter was so helpful and genuinely one of the best meals ever.
