Fantastic food artfully crafted in a simple, but profound manner. Tight Smitty quarters and cold whe the door was opened. Server gave the best recommendations. One of my favorite restaurants in Montmartre.

Incredible service with stunning yet affordable food. Would recommend the baked egg with foie gras. It was so good that my friends and I returned the next day (with no reservation) and were welcomed very easily. 100% would recommend!

This little place serves amazing food in an authentic rustic environment... vibes are on point, food is high-quality and delish, its affordable and I loved it! Don't pass it up- indulge in classic french country dishes without pretension! If you have issues being super close to your fellow diners, you may not enjoy the experience... its very small, very close and if you talk with your hands or need a lot of elbow room, maybe this isn't for you.

This is such a small and quaint space. Everything duck!!! make sure to save room for dessert. Wines are all of excellent value and price. Take the hosts recommendations, you will not be disappointed! Favorite restaurant in Paris!!!

Client since 2005, still big fan of "oeuf cocotte au foie gras",the best ever tried. Owner changed during COVID period, not the taste. Looking for a place to have a good time with friends? You will never be disappointed.

I was definitely not expecting such a small place when we booked but we very very delighted with the food , the atmosphere and the service . We had the steak and the duck which were delicious and as a starter we had the soup and the eggplant with cottage cheese.

A rustic, one-room setting with no pretensions. Very friendly and efficient staff. Service was quick and the food was down home French with good flavors. Price was very reasonable. The place filled up by 7-7:30p, inside and outside. A very nice experience overall.

Lovely cosy restaurant. We had lunch and the menu was varied. I recommend the tartiflette with smoked duck as well as the confit duck shepherd's pie.

We were so excited to try this place because of the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, we haven’t been more disappointed with the food. Service was very good, in fact they were very accommodating when we came in 2 hours before our 9pm reservation. We were so tired and hungry after our Montmartre tour which ended at 7pm that we decided to try if they can seat us. There were a couple of empty tables so they let us in. Our starter of baked egg with foie gras was delicious! We wiped clean that small ramekin with the bread. We thought that if the starter was this good, surely the entrees should be outstanding too, right?! We couldn’t have been more wrong! I’ve ordered the beef with pepper sauce and the wife ordered the veal after getting that recommendation from the server that the veal is tender, more so than the pork we were thinking of getting. Orders came in but my beef was tough overdone medium instead of the medium rare I’ve ordered. So they offered to replace it. Btw, the veal was surprisingly tough too. After an agonizing wait, I got to slice into the beef and it looked like a perfect medium rare. However, as hungry as I was, I just couldn’t get over the tough piece of meat. We were so disappointed we both didn’t finished our food.

Amazing dinner! A friend who is from France recommended this place and it is our 2nd time here…delicious food, great service and well priced. We are picky diners from NYC and highly recommend Le Potager!

The first meal stop of our long-awaited trip to Paris. This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed in and to be honest, we probably wouldnt have visited if it wasnt for the point in the right direction! We werent expecting a restaurant so tiny - it was certainly very cosy inside - we counted it seated a max of 24 people! From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. They provided us with English versions of the menu and helped us with our choices! We all chose the potato gratin with duck and it was AMAZING. so much flavour and filling at the same time - but not too much that we couldnt fit in a dessert as well! A great recommendation and a great meal.

This place has changed owners. We have been going there every time we visit Paris. The recipes are the same. But the taste of the food is different. They need to work on consistency of the sauces, too runny.
