We booked a table during the festival (6-26 July) receiving a confirmation advising using the Parking des Papes as hotel parking was reserved for hotel guests. We set off and allowed an additional 15 minutes after scheduled arrival time at the car park for a 1pm reservation. When we arrived the sign turned to Complêt and we were not permitted to queue. The next several car parks were also full and we ended up parking miles away in a private complex at risk of being towed. As we were going to be late, along the way I had called to explain why we would be late and that we should arrive by 1.30pm. That was noted as ok by the hotel reception. We called an Uber which luckily arrived immediately and reached the hotel by 1.45pm. What a drama but one that would be resolved once we sat down to eat an eagerly anticipated excellent meal! But, in fact, we were turned away as being too late! Of course I explained the circumstances and the warning call to no avail. We won’t be bothering to return!

Delightful, seasonal food plated beautifully; friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff; a welcoming and kind chef de cuisine; and a beautiful setting. I enjoyed my dinner very much!

We really appreciated the creativity and willingness to adapt the evening's menu to my wife's food restrictions. The staff were tremendous and willing to engage in a bit of light-hearted banter during the evening. Altogether, a tremendously enjoyable experience.

This was the best meal I've EVER had! The atmosphere was elegant, service superb, and the food beautifully displayed and delectable. Everything was perfect in every way. By the time dessert came, I was too full to enjoy it, but otherwise, it was extraordinaire!

Excellent service and food; the dessert was possibly my favorite ever! Be warned: it’s A LOT of food, even on the smallest four-course menu!

Incredible small courses with an Asian influence. Wonderful, friendly service. The chef and serving staff did everything right. Well worth the price.

We enjoyed our lunch at La Mirande very much, and the service was fantastic. The food was creative, and the chefs technical abilities were well on display. As individual dishes, the food was very good, however the menu as a whole did not flow together as one would expect. The cohesiveness of the menu was not there to the level that one expects from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Overall, the food was very good, the service was exceptional, and the location/setting lovely and inviting.

Simply it was the best 1 michelin star restaurant I’ve been to! All personnel were very professional and the service was examplary. Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been traveling extensively recently and had a chance to visit quite a few fine restaurants. La Mirande is one of the best if not the best establishment among those. The menu is extremely thoughtful while playful, and is centered on letting the client enjoy fine ingredients, exceptionally prepared. The staff is friendly while professional. The sommelier does a fantastic job offering wine by the glass. Bravo Chef Florent and the crew!

+5This was a wonderful lunch. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Every dish was prepared delightfully. Our only suggestion would be to make it more clear that the Menu Animal was seafood heavy. It seemed more like Menu de Mar or Menu Land and Sea. I love seafood, but my husband was not the biggest fan because he doesn't enjoy seafood. (This is no reflection on the quality or creative genius of the restaurant). He tried everything, and it was nice to have new tastes. It was a beautiful presentation of the seasonal vegetables and wines from the region. I especially liked the morel mushroom with sheep brain. A true delicacy. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience. For English speakers, you helped us to truly get the essence of each dish. We appreciate the effort very much.

Horrible service- they mocked us for being cold and told us to leave if we’re uncomfortable. They tried to rush us to order then said we should just order from the other restaurant. Very uncomfortable experience. Not Michelin star worthy.

I don’t have a single thing to say negatively about Le Restaurant. Everything was excellent. The food and service were the best that I have experienced in a long time. I look forward to the next time we visit Avignon, we will definitely make time to have dinner here.

It was a dinner like no other- and I mean that in the best way possible. Every bite was delicious and presented in creative and beautiful ways. The service was impeccable. The trip to the kitchen a bonus. The sommelier did an excellent job for us and stayed within our means. It was a memorable evening. I highly highly highly recommend you splurge on a meal here. Worth every euro!

The team of La Mirande guided us through a real culinary dinner-excursion. We figured out a true culinary journey, not only because of the excellent fresh food but especially due to the creativity regarding the combination of fascinating, flavorful components. The service was excellent and extremely attentive. Although the staff had to wear their masks, they were able to convey a warm, hearty laugh with conviction. We are always happy to return to the Mirande where we are well taken care of by the personnel and where the chef whom we’ve been following for the last 5+ years never ceases to amaze with his culinary inventions. Many chefs are creative; many make delicious food, but only a few combine the creative deliciousness that chef Pietravalle excels at. He fascinatingly combines foreign, local and personal technique with delicious local produce. Our favourite restaurant in France (despite having visited a few with an extra star).

This was the best dinner of our lives. Period. The service was awesomely exquisite, the ambience was incredible, and the chef is a genius. We will cherish the memory of this outstanding restaurant for many years.
