Excellent service, great traditional French cooking, well served, simply and generously. No stupid pseudo arty stuff, the steaks are thick and half the size of the plate, cooked as you asked, the chips are real potato chips perfectly fried, and the sauces hearty and savory. The wine list is affordable and well chosen. If you take a glass, it is a full glass, not the aesthetically half empty version in other places, and you have the choice of carafe sizes as well. Deserts are classic French stuff, the tarte de jour is always a winner. At linchj today, we finished with glasses of an excellent brandy, I've eaten here many times, and have always been very happy with the experience.
