Awesome service. Fabulous food and well executed, enjoyed the atmosphere and great cuisine. Highly recommended and great Mauritian cuisine outside of Mauritius. Well done guys. Best meal we had after four days in Nice. Score them 10/10. Cheers. David and Anita from New Zealand.

I was in Nice with friends for my birthday weekend and booked this restaurant because of its good reviews. But then I realized they were a scam becuase as we were leaving, immensly unhappy, I saw that they had cancelled my reservation so I couldn't give a review. To be able to review them I had to write the fork, send them a photo of our check and have our reservation reinstalled. My advise, DO NOT GO. let's start from the lightest part, the slow service. Slow like 2 hours slow, but it is much worse then that. The food does not represent what you order. We ordered fried shrimp, some strange fried fish came with a big hair in it and when I showed the owner, he laughed it off and told me to eat. We ordered cocktails once we sat down and they came after half an hour, preparared by the receptionist with his dirty hands between accepting payments and other. AFter the fear of another dirty cocktail, we moved to beer. Mine arrived with a bug in it and even there, it was put in another glass and I was told to drink. The bill, expensive for the the dirty and bug filled conditions as well as the rude service. After paying in full (they didn't even offer to offer us the beer that had the bug in it or they didn't even apologize for anything either) and realizing they had cancelled my online booking so I couldn't review, I looked at the owner and said "VERY BAD". He followed us our, yelling at us that we didn't have to keep talking and made a scene in the street. It was all so embarrassing. We didn't respond because we were all so shocked so unless you want slow service, bad treatment, a dirty atmosphere and to eat the hair of some random cook and a few suprise bugs, I would not recommend the place. If it was the only place left open in Nice, I still would not go.

Lovely owner with delicious home cooked food, We will return. The chicken curry was amazing, so full of flavour. Yum.

Delicious little Creole restaurant hidden away in Nice, run by an amazing gentleman who made me feel welcome as he served me some great curry seafood and a lovely plate of small appetizers plus a super coconut tart. All in all I had a wonderful evening at Le Saint Geran!

Very nice hidden treasure! Great people, great food, and was an amazing experience. Really tasty food and very nice atmosphere to eat. It's worth to visit!

You can feel the love in both the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant. If you are looking for a non-traditional French cuisine with a Polynesian twist, this is the place for you. This family owned restaurant is both warm and inviting. Husband and wife proprietors make you feel like you have stepped into their home. The wife runs the kitchen with help from her doting husband. Their son is the host and waiter. Each plate was more delicious then the next. The exotic salad was fresh and light. The grilled swordfish was cooked to perfection and served alongside the tastiest saffron vegetables you will ever eat. Ending the meal with crepes and flambé bananas and ice cream was a highlight. A must for any true foodie when in Nice!

Great host, he was very helpful and proud of the food he was serving. For us the menu was a discovery, tasty and well presented. The restaurant decor may need an update . We will go back to try more dishes

Very nice cuisine, spicy and delicious. Service perfect and able to advise regarding the exotic menu. Authentic mauritian dishes, beautifully arranged.

I think 'Le Saint Geran' is simply paradise! Great atmosphere, kind owner and staff, delicious food, I enjoyed every single minute in this place (and obviously every single bite too :D). If you want to get the full Creole experience, this is the place to be!

Excellent restaurant - food is fantastic, so flavorful and delicious, service - top notch, interior - colorful and eclectic and very welcoming! Menu has a great variety of options, fish/seafood lovers like me would particularly appreciate it. 100% recommend!
