The food was not Michelin Category Felt like we were eating airplane heated food and sauce We specified on reservations no pork and they brought Caesar salad with bacon chips on top and sliced eggs sorry sliced eggs !!! Sauce on the side ??? We had to mix it We couldn’t wait to leave. By that time I had no idea what was for desert and couldn’t care less Last thing I think was kitchen fault but they brought the appetizer followed by entrees within 1 minute not even one minute table could not fit So 2 stars because I felt one star would make me less objective. But really it’s one star

Very nice starter – delicious tomato/burrata salad. Main course was nice, but very small portion of the venison – just two tiny pieces. Just 3 glasses of red wine available by the glass, none of which had good reviews after a quick search online. I went with the sommelier's recommendation and it was very average. When I sat down I was the only diner in the restaurant. I asked the waitress who was taking my order what vegetables were included in the side-order of vegetables, and she said she didn't know as she was the the wine waiter... why was she taking my order if she didn't know about the food menu?

What a great evening. The meal was superb. The wine was delightful. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful seasonal menu. Really quite delicious.

What a lovely lunch we had. We cycled to the chateau through vineyards and the setting really is stunning. Lunch was served under a huge tree and was very relaxed. Food first class and service charming. I had the gazpacho and chicken, Mr M the tartare de boeuf and the espadon. Faultless. And the seasonal veg and risotto sides perfectly cooked. Very tempted by a pudding but I know my limits. Excellent espresso and bottle of the chateau’s own 2021 Rose. Perfection. Will be back! They even alllowed us to park our bikes in a secure room. Nothing was too much trouble.

Well prepared, fresh and refined, but lacking depth of flavour. I found the food under seasoned also. It’s a lovely place and excellent service, but I do not agree with the ratings for the food, especially at this price. L
