8.5/10We thoroughly enjoyed our evening ar the 5 Portes! The lamb and salmon dises were excellent and the chocolat dessert is not be missed. Timely and attentive service. (For travellers, good to know the menu is available in English and French). I've been for lunch a few times, so glad to see the evening service is very pleasant too.

8/10Great location and environment! Friendly service and great drinks. Second time there and food is very good and does not disappoint, but does not hit the top mark either. Can get very noisy.

10/10Such a cool bohemian place that is instantly welcoming with dining areas and comfy sofas and a long bar. Love the French food with a Japanese twist and an excellent wine list also by verre de vin!

10/10The environment is comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxed, the service is attentive and enthusiastic, the tableware is clean, the food and drinks are abundant, the meals are nutritious and healthy, and the portions are large. All in all, recommended.

10/10It was rally a great experience. We walked in... No seats available inside, so we had to sit outside. My daughter was cold so the manager offered her, her own jacket. Then they had a cancellation inside so we moved indoor. The food is delicious and the service was amazing. Thank you for the great experience. Next time in Geneva we will definitely go back. Thanks again

9.5/10The menu offered a great choice for pescatarians/vegetarians and we got really nice non alcoholic cocktails, the food was delicious and creative, and the service was excellent, very nice waitress who looked after us well. I have been going to this restaurant for years, but this has been the best time, well done for keeping up with the times !

10/10This bistro/restaurant was Superb. Staff very welcoming, able to speak many languages. Even though the restaurant was full and there were only two of them, they were smiling and covering the place with energy + there was no extra waiting time for food or drinks.

8/10This is a great spot for a good meal without a ton of fuss. It's across from the Novotel, where I stayed for work, but I didn't actually go until I was staying farther away and I wish I had gone at least once more when it was convenient. The staff are busy, but attentive and the menu is small, but has everything you'd need without a crushing amount of options - a nice bistro with a good selection of meals, wines, and cocktails. The steak was cooked just right and the ratatouille was a great compliment as well as the roasted potatoes and light salad. Really solid and fun place to grab a meal.

6/10Normally a great venue - this experience was disappointing due to very long wait for food to appear (who knows why it was half enmpty) and quality of main course was substandard. Staff were pleasant and helpful but clearly having to deal with some kitchen chaos. Get a grip - you can do much better than this!

10/10Food and drinks are consistently good and the service efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and not too crowded or noisy. Definitely one of my favourites in Geneva.

7/10Not really good food but decent. We had fish and it was okay. Octopus wasnt cooked enough but overall we could eat. The service though is fantastic and the ambiance very nice. And price is very much correct. So maybe the meat would be better.

9.5/10Delightful menu and even better food! Lots of very creative and perfectly crafted seafood and a delectable piece of pork. Strawberry/rhubarb compote to die for. Elliot, our server, was excellent. He seemed to be the only front of the house staff but somehow got it done!

9.5/10Amazing restaurant and food, both had the avocado/salmon/egg starter - really delicious, would defo reccomend, lamb shank and the sea bass for mains - delicious and very filling, no room left for dessert! Waiter was very friendly and amiable, despite being very busy, was extremely attentive. Only small negative - btwn starters and mains waiter placed my used cutlery back onto the table itself, not on napkin, Instead of taking it with him with the dirty plates, but he then came back and replaced the cutlery before serving the mains, without any prompting. Ambience- old world, cosy, low lighting vibe. Great restaurant & food - would reccomend for dinner!

7.5/10The food at les 5 Portes is really amazing--original dishes, tasty and beautifully prepared. It's a shame that the wait staff is not friendlier or more efficient. In fact our server was sullen and almost brutal!

8/10Very nice atmosphere and lovely interior. Cheese parcel on salad was tasty. Mains of whole sea bass was very good and lamb shank good. Lava pudding was superb. Only down side they didn’t have the booking in the diary from fork and didn’t apply the fork discount so call and check would be my recommendation
