I love this place. Food was excellent. There was only one server and he was running everywhere, so he made us rush to order and felt like we were bothering him. Added to this, I had made a reservation with the fork, which had a discount, and then at the end it was not applied. When I asked why, the waiter said it only applied to the first 10 reservations which was not specified in the reservation or when doing so. I like the place and will come back, but felt blindsided, added to the fact that the waiter made clear that he was the only one tonight, and felt like we had to excuse the rush…. Great quality. Need to be careful with the clientele relationship.

Eliot was the kindest server we had on our trip to Switzerland. The steak and chicken was amazing and tender and cooked perfectly, as a French restaurant should! Malbec wine delicious! ( couldn’t afford the Châteauneuf-du-Pape!). The old fashioned drinks were mediocre but wish I would have said yes to the reccomended sparkling water substitution. instead of the usual. Next time. I had a great time at Les 5 portes! Food was fantastic - I had a whole sea bass cooked to perfection with a side salad, roasted potatoes and ratatouille. All excellent. Tarte tatin with cinammon ice cream was great too. Impeccable service and a great ambiance. I'll be back soon and would highly recommend!

Loved the ambience - rustic feel with wood burner in the corner and settees to relax in post meals. The food was fabuuulooous - good menu. The young man single handedly front of house was marvellous running the bar and waiting on tables. We fancied the Grand Marnier crepe suzettes only to find that they were only available at weekends. He could see our disappointment and went out of his way to personally create them in front of us - now that is excellent service. If we were staying longer in Geneva we would return. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Food was good, I had the tartar which was generous and very tasty and the moelleux au chocolat which was good. The service was really slow, ambience was good and cozy. I recommend if you are fine with not super fast service.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening ar the 5 Portes! The lamb and salmon dises were excellent and the chocolat dessert is not be missed. Timely and attentive service. (For travellers, good to know the menu is available in English and French). I've been for lunch a few times, so glad to see the evening service is very pleasant too.

Such a cool bohemian place that is instantly welcoming with dining areas and comfy sofas and a long bar. Love the French food with a Japanese twist and an excellent wine list also by verre de vin!

It was rally a great experience. We walked in... No seats available inside, so we had to sit outside. My daughter was cold so the manager offered her, her own jacket. Then they had a cancellation inside so we moved indoor. The food is delicious and the service was amazing. Thank you for the great experience. Next time in Geneva we will definitely go back. Thanks again

The menu offered a great choice for pescatarians/vegetarians and we got really nice non alcoholic cocktails, the food was delicious and creative, and the service was excellent, very nice waitress who looked after us well. I have been going to this restaurant for years, but this has been the best time, well done for keeping up with the times !

This bistro/restaurant was Superb. Staff very welcoming, able to speak many languages. Even though the restaurant was full and there were only two of them, they were smiling and covering the place with energy + there was no extra waiting time for food or drinks.
