8/10We entered with sky-high expectations after reading other reviews and left mildly underwhelmed. Seemed understaffed on a busy night -- probably would have ordered more wine if we had received more timely attention! We each ordered the menu completo, and food was quite good, apart from one main plate (veal), which was only average. Charming place, so it was disappointing to leave feeling it had been less than special.

10/10A true authentic French feel to this restaurant. The kids didn't feel comfortable but once the food came out they nearly licked their plates clean. The portions were big. The owner was so busy but attentive and nice. we will return soon again.

8/10A first time visit based on a recommendation. I normally avoid the Square St. Catherine since it tends to be a very touristy area with mediocre restaurants. This resto was a delightful surprise. Inviting menu, warm ambience and good pace of service and delivery. The only negative comments concerns one particular waiter who seemed detached and dismissive. The good news is the other waiter was warm, welcoming and extremely service oriented. I would go back.

5.5/10We made a reservation here on a Sunday night based on a Rick Steves recommendation. It’s a small restaurant and tables are very close together, which reminded us of similar places in NYC. Service is very slow due to only 2 people taking orders and managing all the tables, including a few outside. They got into an argument about something that caused additional delays. Our starters were very good (fish tartare and scallion tatin). My partner liked the duck entree and I liked the flavors of the bouillabaisse, but was disappointed that it contained only 2 small shrimp and 2 small pieces of fish, along with a few potatoes and several pieces of vegetables. When I mentioned this to our server, his reply was that the other elements of the dish make up for it. (“Yes,but you have the potatoes, the zucchini, the bread, the aioli.”). For 28euros, I think more seafood would be expected. Didn’t have coffee or dessert.

9.5/10We chose this restaurant because it was recommended by Rick Steve’s and because it indicated that it had Gluten Free options. We made a reservation for 7:30 pm. When we showed up there was only one other occupied table. The wait staff was energetic’ and attentive and gave the GF issue their full attention. My wife ordered the salmon and I had the pasta. It was amazing. We had the house wine with our dinner-perfect. Overall we had an excellent experience and would recommend this place without equivocation!

10/10We stayed at the Hotel Jeanne D’Arc right across the street. Les Bougresses is a lovely, friendly place. Very gracious staff and really enjoyed my duck on potatoes with a delicious sauce. My wife had a tasty ravioli dish. Perfect place for us on our last night in Paris and would definitely go back.

10/10The food was truly superb. Best steak I had in France. It’s nice to have the option of a la carte or 3 course. The waiter was lively and fun with us and we did not feel rushed. Crème brûlée was simply divine.

10/10Great food, friendly welcome, excellent value in a charming. small resto just off Turner. Two large parties required much of the service time and it was a little hard to get our check, but the atmosphere is so enjoyable, it wasn’t a big deal except that one of our party had a long distance to travel home.

10/10My wife and I used to come to this place many years ago when it was a tea room. We were delighted to come back and find out that it has been turned into a really fabulous little restaurant with a superb menu and excellent service. And all for a very reasonable price, especially if you choose the menu of the day.

10/10By far the best meal we’ve had so far on our trip to Europe. The staff were excellent and very understanding of our limited French. The meal was fantastic, both for my wife and I and the wine by the glass very enjoyable.

10/10Les Bougresses was across from our hotel. I discovered it while walking by. We had a fabulous experience! The small wine list perfect. The staff, exceptional. The food was inspirational! I will recommend to everyone!

9.5/10Perfect dinner in a cozy atmosphere. I had the beef bourguignon and escargot and my daughter had the ravioli and a gorgeous salad with warm potatoes and goat cheese. It was a perfect way to cap off an exquisite day in Paris!
